Look, every generation of musicians is influenced by the last, and you're critiquing them for their present innovation and sound. I firmly believe that there are strong roots and ties, a deep love for the sound, but each generation WILL surpass it's predecessors and Bad Salad has got the chops NOW. You guys rock!

@Joziaac u got a good point, but imo this band is playin a lot heavier than ADTOE DT, this is more portnoy DT, and seein as hes left nd they havnt got him pullin thm in all the heavier directions their sounds guna be a bit difrent now, so while BadS is strongly influenced by DT, i mean that alarm ringin at 4:05 is straight outta a change of seasons :P but its gud, cos the way i c it, we hav a new classic DT, wiv a breath of fresh air in their sound, then bad salads pickin up where BCASL left off

Some questions, Besides the fact that the song is a total killer!! A really new type of Progressive Metal.

1. Do you mic your Mesa amp or use impulses in your pc?

2. Which software do you use for recording? Would you prefer a mac or a windows for recording?

3. Are the drums programmed or micked?

I mean, the mix is soo unreal! You did all this? :O I get mad mixing. I get good guitar tones, good bass tones, and a really nice keyboard and drum sound. But when I mix them, it sounds really bad. :/

Yes, is is similar to DT, but I don't see anything wrong about it, they are DT fans, so do I, it is clearly one of their main influences. If ppl criticize the lack of originality they are wrong, it reminds DT a lot, but it is not a copy, it is original and time will give them their own unique personality. In the meantime, their music is really good. Keep it up!

I was not too fond of the vocals on crowded sky, but DAMN! they are fantastic on this song, and I am very glad that Denis is a part of Bad Salad because he is a great singer. As for the rest of the musicians, it goes without saying that they are all masters at their respective instruments (especially Cesar).
