He must inspire a lot of young people to get off drugs and turn their lives around, which is a powerful thing. Too much Brian. I dont know you, but Im proud of you. \m/
I love Korn, seen them several times live. It's true they aren't the same without Head, but what's more important than that is that this man came to know the living God.
He is demented now, just like all christians. But I'm sure he will see the light and come back to KoRn. Christianity is so gay and lame now, surely he knows this? Hopefully Jon Davis can persuade him back.
@wankerpanther haha sad little loser. you are really gay and lame do you masterbate and think about the return of brian to korn? you sound mad pathetic.
@wankerpanther Seriously ?? Surely you can't think that him going back to KoRn would make him happy now that he knows the Son of the Living God ? Well, let me reassure you that that's not gonna happen.. Maybe you should listen to what his songs say. Jesus loves you too, and one day I hope you see it :) I don't mean this mean spirited... hope it doesn't sound that way :)
About a year ago I was listening to Last FM and these awesome tracks kept coming on by a band called "Head". I kept listening to them with little knowledge of who it was. A couple of months back I decided to find out more and I was blown away realising it was Brian. I love Korn's music and went to see them but I became disillusioned by their lack of connection with the audience. That was in 2003 which must have been when Head was deep into his former less fulfilling life. I admit that I laughed
"like I got moved up in rank just like a soldier," I too had this same experience. The kingdom of God is analogous to the army. One passes tests and earns badges. Being a christian is like climbing Mount Everest. The higher you get the harder it gets. There is nothing easy about it, yet, it is very rewarding and satisfying.
No, no, my fuzzy friend. I don't believe in these god(s) DUE to educating myself and taking a thorough interest in theism. I think ALL theisms are silly and childish, however, interesting. But silly nonetheless.
The big question isn't wether they are real or not, but rather, are they necessary. Especially in the current times of 2000 and frikkin 10 (2010).
On the contrary. The world is a beautiful place, as well as cruel, uncaring and scary...but beautiful.
In reference to your god, isn't it funny how he/she it/whatever always requires a blood sacrifice. Pfff...hahah- including himself apparently. The dude commited suicide for, er...christ's sake. So, rationally speaking, is that good or is it bad? Be honest now.
And why create you in the first place if he KNOWS trillions of years before your creation what was going to happen to you. It's like he knows the inevitable, relishes and observes your downfall which he knew would happen anyway. So why not just cast you in hell in the first place. Or why create you at all, after knowing what will occur. Doesnt that sound a bit sadistic?
In the end it takes more faith to be an aethist than a christian. Something(the earth, stars, universe, people etc.) can not come from nothing. even atheist scientists know that matter can neither be created nor destroyed, sooo where did everything you see come from? The answer is A CREATOR that does not adhere to the rules of matter.
Ok. Firstly I'm happy for the guy. And if it means getting your shit sorted out through religio- fine.

No, dude. You did it. You had friends that helped you. Your family supported you. Give THEM the credi and YOURSELF. Not something which has been so thoroughly debunked that it's a gag reel within clear minded, rational people.
But I'm happy he turned out ok. He seems like a good bloke.
thats cuz god did do it. he tried for years to quit by himself, rehab, friends, and it never worked. and God hasnt been debunked by clear minded rational people. because the clear mined, rational people are the followers of God.

You can find him on myspace. Or even here on Youtube, he has a video for his single "Flush" Type that in. But just go type in Brian Welch Music on the search engine and you should find some amazing things.
His solo album is amazing. I love the guy. I met him back in 07. Greatest day of my life.
But you can also find his cd at pretty much any place that sells music. There will be a sticker on the cd that says "From the guitar player formally of KoRn."
well its like this everyone goes thru a hard time and at least he is doing what he is doing for his babygurl that he loves with all his heart iam sure but at least he isnt trying to take tha easy way out like some of the losers i know

fair enough he may of found god , but in my opinion this is years of drug addiction, also why is god telling him how to live his life or why does he think that
well lemme set this straight. im not a christian. so if you thought i was a christian judging another one you are sorely mistaken. so there you have it.
What a way to judge...obviously you dont understand the power either. If you did, you would not be calling other people weak. You seem to be one of those people that claim to be Christian yet others who aren't, you want to judge them. That's not what the Bible teaches. Being a hypocrite will get you nowhere.
recluso74- he went to rehab, tried to anyway, the life style that he had when he was in korn was not acceptable to him or Christ, and his life has been better since he left korn.
i've always loved korn but after hearing everything brian said, i'm all for him, he had every reason to quit, and the best reason, he's a better man now and fuck all the people sayign stuff about him cause he found the right way to live his life, he's an inspiration to everyone

Brian "Head" Welch is a weak man. The two guys interviewing him make me sick. They could give a rat's ass about him. All they see is a role model for the young xians. All Brian had to do was go to rehab and get clean. There was no reason for him to quit KoRn. Brian....you're weak. I'm glad you're clean anyway. Your daughter is going to love you for it.
People go to rehab over and over. He needs rehab? Sounds to me like he's been clean for years now and all it took was Jesus and 3 days of detoxing in a hotel room.
This wasn't just some warm, fuzzy feeling he just got one day and then decided he'd change his life forever. That's what proves it was truly the LORD that gave him the strength to do it and he's AWESOME for accepting Christ as his savior. These guys are just as interested in him as we are for watching this video.
dude, he did goto rehab, and it made his life hell. he quit korn for his daughter and for his own sake because he might not be alive right now if he didnt quit korn
no offence but i dont think u understand. i think in the previous interview vids he said he did check into rehab but he couldnt handle the imprisonment i think he said. please quote me if im wrong
this was very inspiring. i am suffering from severe eczema right now and this really reminded me once of God's existence. Love you Lord god and please pray for brian so that he may continue to spread the word of Jesus.
hey if the man is happy let him be. all i know is that in my life time everyone i know that wa on drugs is dead or on there way to die, he got out good job. gives me hope to get off my self.
"If I find Christ, I will find myself and if I find my true self I will find Him. This is the goal and purpose of our lives..." (Brennan Manning, "Abba's Child") You didn't do anything to provoke God's love. You are God's beloved, Brian! We rejoice with you!
there's many of people with a great testimony of Brian Welch, its good to know that he hasn't given up on Life, and he's walking in that narrow path, and just keep FIGHTING the good fight, for i have kept my faith.
fuck him and those fuckin reporters. good for him that he kicked the drugs but thats all going on in his head... he saved himself he just needed something to hold on too, if somebod told him that cheesecake could save him, the cheesecake factory would interview him and sell his story to sell their shit, just like those reporter whores trying to get people to worship their bullshit and heed to their cause, so they can force their opinions and ideals on people and ending their individuality
Here's a point lets say God created the world and created us. God is spirit our world is physical. God is of the Faith realm. Now isn't it perfectly logical for someone to create something like evolution to say that the world happened without God, because it's seen and understood in the mind. Now lets say evolution were true now why would God exist, why would people make something like God up? Why do we have right & wrong? Wear clothes? Curse in Jesus name? Just a point anyway.
Legalistic people goes always goes against tats 4 this passage:
Leviticus19:28, but if you read the whole chapter,it also says u cant cut your bear u can't use two different material cloths, n a lot of rulz BEFORE Moses / 10 comands of God.
1 Corinthians 10:3-4
"For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh"
Tattoos are not satanic. If anything Paganistic. Though the only place in the bible where it says they are wrong it is only directed at one group of people.
I guess I'm glad he survived and found happiness. But he really leaves a gaping hole in Korn and its fans. Korn's music is known to have saved lives. Korn has given millions an escape from unhappiness, although their music is portrayed as "Satanic" on the News. His leave really hurt me, among many other fans. Korn didn't make him do drugs, he did. But that's that, I'm glad he's happy. It just breaks my heart as a fan of good music.
I am still trying to find myself and find peace from Biorexia , I am the same as in ashamed of it and afraid of asking god for help because I still fear another failed attempt, I will use this as hopefully an insipiration since Bryan was an idol of mine at age 12 back in 99.
what i don't uderstand is..jon had a drinking problem aswel..he didn't turn to god..but he didn't left the band either..and he has kids too..i get that head was in deeper shit..but he could stay in the band and stay clean with a 20 million dollars paycheck. As far as i know..once you're blessed by god...god will help you in some way to get you wealthy and healthy? i might be wrong...
no matter what you think of God and Christians, how can you knock a guy who quites and gives up everything at his peak for the sake of his daughter and his health? He had the guts to do what was right.

He's completely insane. No thanks in part to all of the drugs that he was supposedly saved from, naturally. So sick of hearing about "god", which is especially problematic because Christians are obnoxiously vocal about it.
Exactly. I'm a 14 year old english kid . I'm Christian and i'm in a metal band. And funnily enough, i'm lead guitarist! This really inspired me to express my faith more so thank you Head and even more so THANK YOU GOD.

I'm sorry I just can't let this go. Doing drugs and being miserable is a choice. He is making an ass of himself. Christ if fun! Songs Ever Be and Love and Luxury say it all. I promise I will stop watching this now....
Hurt wrist? I just watched the dvd in the new Untitled set and Jon talks about how David just wasn't "into" it and how he wanted to go focus on his steak house and sushi restaurant, which seemed pretty lame to me. No mention of an injury. Shit Jon almost died from that blood disorder and listen to him now! Better that ever!
I'm not going to lie, I felt betrayed when he left. I'm a fan, too, but he has his own emotions and life that we can't dictate for him. He doesn't owe us anything, he's done his time, and I'm thankful for it. Like I said, I miss him too. Munky couldn't sustain the note for the "Another brick in the wall" solo, when I saw him at Family Values.
David is resting his wrist so he can KEEP playing for Korn. If he played while his wrist was still messed up he could of permanently hurt something, so don't condemn him.
I'd rather have Head leave Korn happy and alive, then have him OD on something. Yeah the other guys cleaned up and stayed, but people are different and go there own ways. Just let him be and be happy for him. I miss him like crazy, too, but we can't be selfish.
Yes there sure is an awful lot of talk of money and fame, no mention of the "souls" (mine included) that Korn has saved. It's like he must not even care or realize that. I'm sure he could have still found his god and stayed in Korn. THEY all managed to quit drugs and the new album is killing it!
He has such a wonderfull story

where can i find his music? I love Korn and would really like to hear it.
wowmachinima111111 2 years ago
You can find him on myspace. Or even here on Youtube, he has a video for his single "Flush" Type that in. But just go type in Brian Welch Music on the search engine and you should find some amazing things.
His solo album is amazing. I love the guy. I met him back in 07. Greatest day of my life.
But you can also find his cd at pretty much any place that sells music. There will be a sticker on the cd that says "From the guitar player formally of KoRn."

fair enough he may of found god , but in my opinion this is years of drug addiction, also why is god telling him how to live his life or why does he think that

well lemme set this straight. im not a christian. so if you thought i was a christian judging another one you are sorely mistaken. so there you have it.
radiofreek 3 years ago
What a way to judge...obviously you dont understand the power either. If you did, you would not be calling other people weak. You seem to be one of those people that claim to be Christian yet others who aren't, you want to judge them. That's not what the Bible teaches. Being a hypocrite will get you nowhere.

i've always loved korn but after hearing everything brian said, i'm all for him, he had every reason to quit, and the best reason, he's a better man now and fuck all the people sayign stuff about him cause he found the right way to live his life, he's an inspiration to everyone

Sounds to me like he's been clean for years now and all it took was Jesus and 3 days of detoxing in a hotel room.
dl0 3 years ago 2
This wasn't just some warm, fuzzy feeling he just got one day and then decided he'd change his life forever. That's what proves it was truly the LORD that gave him the strength to do it and he's AWESOME for accepting Christ as his savior. These guys are just as interested in him as we are for watching this video.
nrvswrk25 3 years ago 3
dude, he did goto rehab, and it made his life hell. he quit korn for his daughter and for his own sake because he might not be alive right now if he didnt quit korn

fuck him and those fuckin reporters. good for him that he kicked the drugs but thats all going on in his head... he saved himself he just needed something to hold on too, if somebod told him that cheesecake could save him, the cheesecake factory would interview him and sell his story to sell their shit, just like those reporter whores trying to get people to worship their bullshit and heed to their cause, so they can force their opinions and ideals on people and ending their individuality

He's completely insane. No thanks in part to all of the drugs that he was supposedly saved from, naturally. So sick of hearing about "god", which is especially problematic because Christians are obnoxiously vocal about it.

Welch said the money, the fame, and the women were a dream come true for him. He seems happier, clearer, and more at peace than he was with Korn.
People shouldn't hate him. They should be happy that moved on with his life and found peace.

Better that ever!
dionn1 4 years ago
I'm not going to lie, I felt betrayed when he left. I'm a fan, too, but he has his own emotions and life that we can't dictate for him. He doesn't owe us anything, he's done his time, and I'm thankful for it. Like I said, I miss him too. Munky couldn't sustain the note for the "Another brick in the wall" solo, when I saw him at Family Values.
Just stop hating and move on... he has.
msjuju1109 4 years ago 2
David is resting his wrist so he can KEEP playing for Korn. If he played while his wrist was still messed up he could of permanently hurt something, so don't condemn him.
I'd rather have Head leave Korn happy and alive, then have him OD on something. Yeah the other guys cleaned up and stayed, but people are different and go there own ways. Just let him be and be happy for him. I miss him like crazy, too, but we can't be selfish.
msjuju1109 4 years ago
correction, at least the 3 of them quit the bullshit and stayed together, F David too for not sticking it out...
dionn1 4 years ago
Yes there sure is an awful lot of talk of money and fame, no mention of the "souls" (mine included) that Korn has saved. It's like he must not even care or realize that. I'm sure he could have still found his god and stayed in Korn. THEY all managed to quit drugs and the new album is killing it!
