How are the controller wise on XBOX? I played Oblivion on PS3 for 300 hours (+) and I like the control scheme on PS3. Is it the same as PS3 where D-pads are responsive, triggers anybetter? senitivity faster? Would a bigger hdd run oblivion faster around 30-45 fps?

The PS3 version only looks better because Bethesda had a year to optimize it, not because by some magic the PS3 has better hardware (it does not, they are both equivalent). I reckon the 5th anniversary edition in 2011 for the 360 looks just like the PS3 version.
It's proven that the ps3 has more computing power than 360 (thats why all exclusives look so damn good) but almost all multiplatform games are made for the 360 and simply ported over to the ps3 so they don't run/look quite as good on ps3. In other words, both consoles have their ups and downs.
That´s not a proven fact by any means, that´s just what Sony told you in 2006. Looking at specs both consoles are technically even (PS3 has a better CPU, 360 has a better GPU and both have 512RAM). Also RDR, Crysis 2, Gears 3 and Forza 4 do not look any worse than the best you can find on PS3.
The PS3 has better resolution, allowing better visuals in comparison to the 360 (And in long distance resolution). Don't believe me? Look at the specs of each game at the back of the case.

5 years on it still looks good. Put 80 hours into the xbox version when it came out. Just bought it for the ps3 yesterday. After finishing 2worlds2 had the craving for some Oblivion.
Für mich sieht es so aus, als ob die nur die Farbstärke bzw. der Farbkontrast den Unterschied machen. Die Farben der Ps3 sind etwas heller gehalten, was ich persönlich aber beser finde, da es das ganze realistischer macht.
Ich werde jetzt erstmal Little Big Planet 2 zocken hihihi 5 Sterne für die Ps3 !

Xbox does have better shading though, And the Ps3 runs very smooth with a lot of visuas on the screen, I.E Mag. So, I'm fine with any system, Lol.
@AGedgeProduction They don't look exactly the same, PS3 is a bit better Bethesda and various reviewers have said it. That Crisis 2 demo on 360 is amazing, its scary how that is the cut down version and the PS3 and PC versions will look much better.
keep in mind that PS3 games are blu-ray, running on a blu-ray console, so most games will have better graphics than any other consoles without blu-ray...such as Xbox, although the graphics are still good since it is HD...but don't get me started on the Wii 8(
@edster98765 The only one that has a real big tie to Skyrim's story is Oblivion, as the story is set right after it. But if you don't want to play Oblivion, I'm sure that you could just pick up Skyrim and start with that.

Skyrim will be coming out 11.11.11 and I can PROMISE you you will not regret buying it. Yes, they're RPGs. So if you are looking for a solid, unique RPG, go with the Elder Scrolls.
The game looks like toonshaded on both consoles. I prefer having a PC-Version of it. That allows me to add mods to the game (just like HD-Textures and Godrays... or new better looking races like moonshadowelfs)
Xbox 360... but really, who cares? When the Intel 80 core processor comes out, it's going to make these systems look (more) like CRAP. It's been too long. New systems are needed once those new processors come out.
Difference? Open GL and Direct X. it's the visual lighting difference. don't let the psychological effect make you think that PS3 or xbox has better GFX lol. XD
The PS3 version has a five gig install. It also had one extra year of development and perfection of porting to the PS3. I'd got the 360 version mainly because it's only 8 MB. Not 5 gigs.

I beat this game on my xbox 360 and had a few problems with it lagging and freezing. I just got a ps3 and now im thinking about gettin this game for it to see if it does the same, but this video dosent really show a huge difference :/...my opinion PS3=Xbox 360.

to be honest i had the game on 360 PS3 and PC lol :P sad i know :P the ps3 and 360 were pretty much same ps3 just had a tiny bit better graphics but the main thing i noticed was the load times were alot shorter on the ps3 and the draw distance was much better on the ps3. but as long as u dont mind waiting a few extra seconds for things to load then either is good but i would recommend the ps3 version over 360

There is no differnce here that would ruin your gameplay! Oblivion is an excellent games, both consoles are excellent (i have both), the thing is if your enjoying a game and your immersed in it you wouldn't give a damn how it looks!
Honestly, i saw not much of a difference at all.... if you do want to see a difference play it on pc maxed @ 1920x1080 res then you'll notice a difference. A very nice one in fact.

@xFYCNxTATTIE I must interfere. Lighting and Shadows are computationaly identical. Unless you're talking about specular highlights and so forth. Colors in oblivion are recalculated in post-buffer so all systems handle that the same way as well. Now I might agree about psy handling high-res textures better, but textures without shaders are like fries without salt. The last generation of games to make no serious shader/texture integrations were the simcity/baldur's gate days.
um ps3/360 graphics are about the same i owned it for both systems when i had my 360 and i say 360 version bc they updated the patches and have achivements for it..ps3 didnt get trophies for goty edition

The color differance is a fact but thats because there is a differant gpu in the xbox then the ps3.
The xbox has a amd radeon gpu in it wich is known for deeper colors.

I can't stand both the Playstation fanboys/girls and the Xbox fanboys/girls. This is a ridiculous argument. Nobody cares about your worthless opinions so just shut up. Each console has their strengths and weaknesses. If you really want to get technical the PS3 is a lot harder to work with than the 360. Sorry, it's the truth. Any graphical differences are neglible.

@RedJoker No, everyone who plays games are real gamers, not just PC. Just because they are more advanced doesn't make PC gamers any more real than console gamers. Sure you have a more flexible experience with PC but in the end everyone is still playing games.

Its retarded, they used a driver thats harder and newer but shows just as primitive or as technological as the 360. Graphics are not better though. Oh yeah, and in Oblivion they are. I beat this game on my xbox 360 and had a few problems with it lagging and freezing. I just got a ps3 and now im thinking about gettin this game for it to see if it does the same, but this video dosent really show a huge difference :/...my opinion PS3=Xbox 360.

to be honest i had the game on 360 PS3 and PC lol :P sad i know :P the ps3 and 360 were pretty much same ps3 just had a tiny bit better graphics but the main thing i noticed was the load times were alot shorter on the ps3 and the draw distance was much better on the ps3. but as long as u dont mind waiting a few extra seconds for things to load then either is good but i would recommend the ps3 version over 360

@TheRoyBoy734 your right lol, morrowind ive only ever seen on PC, bethesda has developed all their games since morrowind for multiplatform with PC being their flagship i guess they make PC first as it would be easier to debug and test on a system they are programming it on then port it over to 360 and ps3 later, @ the video both consoles have their strong and weak spots i personally have a ps3 but have played oblivion on 360, ive played fallout 3 on both 360 and ps3 and i think was better on ps3

There is no differnce here that would ruin your gameplay! Oblivion is an excellent games, both consoles are excellent (i have both), the thing is if your enjoying a game and your immersed in it you wouldn't give a damn how it looks!

Honestly, i saw not much of a difference at all.... if you do want to see a difference play it on pc maxed @ 1920x1080 res then you'll notice a difference. A very nice one in fact.

@xFYCNxTATTIE I must interfere. Lighting and Shadows are computationaly identical. Unless you're talking about specular highlights and so forth. Colors in oblivion are recalculated in post-buffer so all systems handle that the same way as well. Now I might agree about psy handling high-res textures better, but textures without shaders are like fries without salt. The last generation of games to make no serious shader/texture integrations were the simcity/baldur's gate days.

um ps3/360 graphics are about the same i owned it for both systems when i had my 360 and i say 360 version bc they updated the patches and have achivements for it..ps3 didnt get trophies for goty edition
