Dude you're not half bad, you should step up your gear for sure. I can't tell what you're playing, but the reason why your toms sound so loose and "boingey" is probably because you're playing the garbage single ply heads that came with your kit. Upgrade to some 2-ply pinstripes or the like and you'll get a much fuller/richer sound. Just my advice!
you might want to to try to tune your toms better and you can tape a klenix on your snare to make it sound cooler to but other wise very good for 7 months. Might also want to throw in some ghost noes on the ride part of the song.
