  • @CobysBest He does.

  • Good tips thanks

  • dose he play baseball

  • that is possibly the ugliest piece of leather ive ever seen

  • this is a very good method one of the best for me anyway

  • @ubm87 is that really how u should bend the fingers like that??

  • Please like and comment on the video.

  • How big is that glove??

  • some people dont like a deep pocket, the way you have your fingers is actually mostly for outfielders, infielders, such as myself like a flat pocket so i break in my glove moving fingers to palm, quicker release, easier to scoop up ground balls and releasing them. But you make some great points in the video but make sure your breaking in your glove whats comfortable with you, not just with the deep pocket style mentioned at the end of the video

  • which glove should i get the rawling pro preferred or the nokona in this video...I want a light glove, which one is lighter i held the rawling this weekend because my friend has it nd it was pretty light but still out of the two which one is lighter????

  • Please be patient when you break in your glove. Dont speed up the process by sticking your glove in the oven. You will tear and weaken your laces!!! Dont do it.

  • Nice overview about breaking in a new glove. I appreciate the tips you provide!

  • do not place your glove in the oven!!! leave it outside in the sun.

  • thats a nice glove

  • how bout u just use nokona glove conditioner nd dnt mess up ur glove with stuff not intended for it

  • how does it look all round now, and like perfect in the next video? and does shaving cream end up messing up the leather?

  • Heyy where do i break in the baseball glove?

In the basket webb??or a little below it??

  • @arrierin1 below, right where you would catch the ball

  • The thumb and pinky are supposed to be straight.

  • retarded and round is the way i like it.

  • looks retarded, good job you threw shaving cream around it and now it's all circular. Get some activity and play catch with it.

  • chowdermj: its a brand new glove. Nate is trying to make it more subtle, he is bending it for a reason...it wont look like that when hes done. look at the continuation bro.

  • what are you doing how do you expect to catch any groundballs with the glove like a circle...you want the thumb and pinky to be out why do you think they make flared gloves...

  • the completed glove looks totally different. what a difference! how long did it take to finish????

  • a little round but still good

  • watch the continuation and see the final product. How beautiful. The results are in the second video.

  • when you say 4 or 5 apps of the shaving cream how log in between applications?also the jelly

  • good vedio from tyler

  • play catch with it... thats it

  • If you liked this video, watch the continuation, Breaking in A Baseball Glove With Nate 2

  • ubm87-middle infielders want a flat pocket to get the ball out quickly. Flat pockets to scoop the ball, not a deep pocket, harder to get out and transfer. Lanonlin is the best oil to use to break in a glove and you put a little on it once. never over oil your glove it makes it heavy. you goota just play catch and take fielding practice. only way the glove will mold to your hand and perform when you make those fielding moves in games.

  • ur so right

  • @vfbaseball6 yeahp

  • best video on youtube !!

  • nic glove

  • Why would you break a glove in. It won't last very long if you pound on it. I just use mine right away. How much did u pay for that glove. It looks expensive. Mine was $15

  • @CWilly340 thts a 200$ GLOVE

  • it doesnt matter how you shape it dumbasses! its just like a batting stance! whatever works for you!

  • you want to flare the pinky and thumb out, not in. When there flared out it makes it easy to back hand the ball and allows you to cover more ground. (tpx pro flare series)

  • Nate is designing this glove as a middle infielder's position. Shortstop and second basemen love the deep pocket. The glove is not going to be curved like that forever guyz!! He's trying to soften the thumb side and pinkie side by bending the glove to make it more subtle. He even instructs the correct way on how to hold the glove in the end of the vid. No video instructs on the correct way to hold the glove. Pinkie and ring finger are essential when holding the glove.

  • I will say it again and again, "The best video to break in a new glove." This is how the pros do it!!! The pros give the glove to somebody to break it in, and this is how they do it. For all we know, Nate probably has done a few professional gloves.

  • Dogers suck, GO GIANTS!!!!!!!!

    good tips though

  • finally someone knows how to break in a baseball glove

  • lil bit to rounded. i have a wilson a2000 nd its sooo beast.

  • @CookieT28 ya it really is to rounded.

  • Excellent and professional

  • Is vaseline good for breaking in a glove!?

  • @skoric60 its going to keep the glove from breaking apart and lasting longer becuase you are moisturizing the seems

  • nice vid... very helpful. i used the technique on my glove and it work REALLY GOOD.

  • Curving the fingers like that reduces the size you can open the glove up especially for back handers and scoopers. I like to keep thumb and pinky straight and curve in the middle 3 fingers. Also avoid the shaving cream because of the alcohol and other additives. I use Pecards on the laces and in the pocket and palm area only so fingers don't get floppy. Then play lots of catch and use ball mallet. Avoid rubber mallet because of its shape. But each to their own. If it works for you go for it.

  • using a regular mallet is better becuz it's heavier. you can pound and beat it up with better efficiency. it's still the best video on you tube.

  • i like my thumb flared but my fingers and pinky curved like his

  • good advice with the stuff you used but i don't like the shape or glove..i use rawlings pro preferred and i like to have my glove a little more flared but great advice...never put anything but food in a microwave

  • I love the way you shaped it. Great advice. Professional advice. Best video on how to break in a glove that I have seen.

  • I love the way you shaped it. Great advice. Professional advice.

  • KIDS: This is the correct way to break in your new glove. Nate knows best.

  • good job

  • I play AAU ball in the Midwest. You are right on including the subject on fingers in the end of your video. This is the correct way to break in a glove. Good job.

  • Great, very professional!
