  • Yes carbon trading open to fraud - answer: clean up, don't abandon concept which we need to help accelerate adoption of green tech.

  • "Organized Crime in Charge of EU Carbon Trade, Europol Says"

    /watch?v=oL-e33oaI94&feature=channel_video_title

  • Lol the problem with YouTube is any wanker can say stuff.

  • If you want to offset properly! then plant some trees!! Even then you have to be careful, I personally feel that companies who claim to be offsetting because of avoided deforestation are kind of a fraud too so watch out. If your interested in planting actual trees and forests, contact me.

  • Global warming is REAL and we need you to help usher in carbon offset trading taxes and help prevent Congress from stalling on progress toward environmental sustainability and momentous profitability.

Only through partnerships with YOU, the global citizen, can we help save and unite the planet.

We applaud President Barak Obama and former Vice President, Al Gore for re-engaging in this significant C02 endeavor.

The green revolution means unprecedented prosperity for corporations around the globe.

  • @CorporateRule YOU PROVE NOTHING BY SCREAMING IT TO THE HEAVENS.

  • The Church of Scotland subscribes to the new religion of Climate Change.

Climate Change has happened every day since Adam and Eve but now is ascribed to man and not to the sun.

  • @muiroford1 : Right and Adam and Eve were 6000 years ago, correct?

  • I used to be in charge of a carbon offsetting programme for a major UK distribution company in the mid-2000s. After a couple of years, the board found out the whole scheme we were part of (supposedly planting trees in Bolivia) was non-existent & fired me for ‘incompetence’.

However, they had to pay for my silence with 2 years’ salary and a fantastic reference as they didn’t want the bad PR to get out. From what I hear on the grapevine, I think most offsetting schemes are like this...

  • The slow-bleed bankruptcy of America consolidates wealth/power into the hands of an Elite few and starves the rest of us into accepting their North American Union; 3 nations under a single evil rule.

The Elite's intentional destruction of the Gulf and Atlantic Oceans using the BP oil tragedy now have Obama & Al Gore conveniently rushing to pass their pre-planned Carbon Offset Tax scheme to institute bogus new financial burdens on all Americans that will push us into over-taxed 3rd world poverty.

  • Man-made global warming is a scam to impose total corporate control on our daily lives, generate new money-making opportunities - and probably stifle development in poorer nations... Carbon trading, like financial products built on sub-prime debt - is a fraud allowing investment bankers - the ultimate swine - to mint even more casino money while you and I count our pennies and watch the price of everyday essentials go inexorably up to pay for their gambling habit...

    End investment banking now!

  • All the the capitol cities of the world should have to buy methane credits - if you know what I mean.

  • al gore lies all day look his wife left him he is a loser

  • This has to be a slimy Jewish idea? I may be wrong, but I will bet you I am absolutely right. Sounds exactly like something the usurping Jew thought up to fuck the 'Goyim" even harder up the ass. This fucking fraud will make Bernie "hooknose" Madoff look like a fucking Girl Scout...what a joke. The Jews at Goldman Sachs have finished decimating the residential real estate market, guess it's time to move on to the next fraud...sounds perfectly "Jewish" to me

  • @ttiger5050 what a terrible and racist comment to make - what has this got to do with any religion - you sound like you just flew in from the 13th Century.

  • Still more climate news...

COUNCILS ACT ON RISING SEA LEVELS

The South Gippsland Council has adopted planning measures that will require some landowners to acknowledge their properties are at risk of coastal inundation from rising sea levels.

A TRAGEDY OF LOCAL AND GLOBAL DIMENSIONS

The people who live in Guararapes, a poor shantytown clinging to the slopes of one of the numerous steep hills that dot the Rio de Janeiro skyline, are probably unaware that the heavy rains forcing them to flee their homes were caused by a phenomenon affecting the whole planet: global warming.

    INTER PRESS SERVICE

    April 10, 2010

  • How much electricity has been burned by computers viewing this video 13,511 times? This is a fraud of epic proportions and hypocritical to the degree of infinity.

  • Orbiting Carbon Observatory can address the carbon offset fraud for point #1 .

#2 can be addressed by valid policy

  • @breakablec Yes satellites help monitor rain forest protection etc and in other ways, but not 100%

  • Al Gore spews carbon everytime he farts. But yet, he never talks about it. Hypocrite! Plug up your own anus, mister, before telling us we can no longer air our gas-farts!

  • @TheCannonofMohammed YES many worry about carbon offset fraud - but Al Gore's position on climate change threats is supported by consensus amongst vast majority of climate change scientists - while recognising that all climate forecasts contain uncertainties and there is ongoing debate.

  • Al Gore: Pied Piper for the Carbon Credit Crusade

Al Gore brings emotional fervor to his carbon crusade He travels the country displaying charts&graphs quoting scientific experts& appealing to philosophers&religious leaders to save the planet from global warming But he says nothing about his business partners who yearn to trade on the emerging carbon market And the media pay no attention to the companies offering carbon advisory services that will profit from federal carbon emission controls

  • @Thisawareness True - carbon trading and green tech part of $40 trillion green tech boom, and that people on all sides climate change debate are going to benefit from business investments in these areas. Climate sceptics, Al Gore followers, all realise the $40 trillion boom is a fact, whatever their views, whatever the science goes on to prove. Our world is on the move - very fast.

  • this is old scams

    new ones are coming

  • Depopulation of the entire human race (except for me) is the only answer. We must erase the human parasite plague that endlessly leeches upon our limited resources. We, the Wealthy Elite shall eradicate Global Warming, snuffing out the human life whoes very breath suffocates our Goddess Earth. With your help we'll create a better pandemic, a more lethal virus, a deadlier plague, in hopes that one day, the disease called Humans are utterly extinct. Because the world is a better place without YOU.

  • Wow, please tell me you're being sarcastic.

  • By the way, trees don't grow without CO2.

  • You are so right. What we really should be working on is integrity and honor FIRST! Then maybe people will want to do the right thing . . just because it is the right thing!

  • Another Government Tax....what happened to the Ozone Layer....did that go tits up lol?

  • Or go to europols homesite and check press releases

Surposedly it happened last 18 months.

  • seemed he was right.. it just happened try youtube:

Organized Crime Controls EU Carbon Trade, Police Says

Will anything happen now? I have my doubts.

  • Something I'm positive of is that the President can't know that the use of hydrogen by electrolysis has recently been perfected to conclusively produce completely thorough internal combustion engine performance in avarage gasoline and diesel engines using platinized titanium-based hydrogen generators, easily retrofitted to any vehicle with such type of engine. This is the way to turn heads at the Copenhagen summit, with hard science and proven testing by NASA back in the early Seventies.

  • I agree that Capturing Carbon seems like a silly waste of time. Although Carbon offsets are step in the right direction, like planting forests and green energies getting carbon credits. I still think it is a short term solution as it delays high output CO2 industries from actually making big changes toward cuttin emissions.

  • I think we need MORE CO2. For most of the last 1 million years the planet has been without a large amount of CO2 (less than 2000ppm). I would love to have 2000ppm CO2...

  • what about the Oxygen it takes to make Carbon Di-Oxide, for every molecule of Carbon, 2 Molecules of Oxygen are bonded to it when burning hydrocarbon fuels, the more CO2 that gets "Permanently Stored" undergound, removes that much usable Oxygen from the atmosphere, the more they do that the harder it's going to be to breathe.

All Plants; trees, grass, bushes, etc. take in CO2 and release the Oxygen back into the atmosphere, can't do that if the CO2 is stored

  • Environmentalists can now buy carbon offsets when they fly out of San Francisco. So, now they can ease their consciences while they pollute and make Gore a richer man at the same time.

  • oilhammer04

Al Gore one of the worlds biggest charlatans and he know's it, anyone that bought his CT dvd is sucker!

    I'm to smart for him:-)

  • But what about Man-Bear-Pig?

  • Too smart for him.

  • listen to what he is saying, he simple says they are open to scam and fraud. doesn't mean all companies involved in offsets are trying to scam people. the idea of them is atleast to bring the value of carbon, into our economy. imo it is the first step in many we need to take to start representing the value of nature into our free markets

  • Sure, if this were 100% voluntary it would be in the "free market" - but it aint, is it?

CO2 is GOOD for the planet, this whole charade is fake from the start and nothing but a tax from morally and finally bankrupt governments, along with their speculating chums at places like Goldman Sachs. Global warming my ass!

  • Have you ever heard the saying "there is such thing as too much of a good thing" ? If you eat too much apple pie, then you will most likely feel sick. The same goes for the earth... To much co2 can cause damage.

  • Some CO2 is normal in the atmosphere. You may think Global Warming is over hyped, but you can really throw out the science behind the green-house effect?

  • Yes. Computer models either dont account for water vapor or do so badly, yet it's vastly more important than CO2. To make predictions on a small fraction of a small fraction of one of the minor greenhouse gasses, compared to water vapor, is not science. It's hype.

  • Carbon credits/REDDS, Worldbank plans =

google search the YouTube video titled:

"PROTEST-Indigenous Peoples "2nd MAY REVOLT" at the UNPFII"

  • Hey tree lovers! If you want to make an impact on carbon feel free to donate where it really counts. We are trying to save 7.3 acres of young hardwoods here in Missouri just one maturing tree can offset the carbon of an individual. See our website graceyfoundationdotorg for more info. We aren't a huge organization but we are trying to do the right thing at the right time.

  • @GreensongOakheart I joined ArborDay and get 10 trees per year to plant. ;-)

    Grow your own arbor.

  • Yes I live very close to the arbor day farm and have [;anted many trees more than my years. Still how long does it take to grow a mature forest? Certainly over a hundred years. Thanks for the tip and if you do go arbor day make them only send you American trees.

  • @GreensongOakheart Two small questions...

Do trees need carbon that they turn back into oxygen ?

Second, if Bill Gates wants to reduce the planets Co2 emissions to ZERO, how will the trees live if there is no Co2 ?

The reason I wonder is that we might need the trees around in the future if we want to breath.

  • @HumanSayNo Hello,

Humans are not the only creators of CO2 before the industrial revolution and the massive expansion of the human populations how do you think the plants lived then? Believe me there will still be plenty of co2 if we ever actually reduce our factory and car carbon output. Which you can bet we never will. Greed don't you know.

  • hello

  • It's the greatest financial scam ever being perpetrated on the people of earth.

Al Gore founded a carbon credits trading company in 2004--he's promoting his business when he talks "global warming."

The US carbon trading exchange just opened in Chicago last summer.

The World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, as well as many of the largest international corporations are all getting in on the scam.

If the people of the planet don't stop it now, it is going to cost them dearly.

  • EchelonMonitor ...very very well said!

That is what I have always thought, the governments see new taxes out of the lie as well.

  • Yes, new carbon taxes that will be collected and managed by international banks, further enriching them.

CO2 is a trace gas and 1/300th of the atmosphere. Plants need CO2 to live, and we need plants to live.

If anything, CO2 in the atmosphere probably needs to be INCREASED.

The primary greenhouse gas is water vapor.

The best thing Al Gore could do for the planet is to stop breathing.

  • Carbon Emissions Trading.........it's just fancy name for ---AIR TAX---

I have no intentions of paying for my air.

Al Gore is the worlds biggest known charlatan, and I wouldn't mind at all if he stopped breathing.

  • and you cannot pay for air!

    it is a pbulic good

  • Thing is, we are also cutting down our "plants" as you say. It's like putting a plastic bag over your head for a while, tends to get stuffy.. maybe you should try it

  • The goverment sees new taxes

  • Yes....a new tax call...

    AIR-TAX!

  • Indeed, the green movement is about greenbacks.

  • Wait one moment have I lost the plot but do not plants and the sea live of carbon dioxide. The politicians love to talk about "CARBON" but I am sure its carbon dioxide that cars and mammals breath out. I also remember from 2ndery chemistry that the atmosphere is made up of 21% carbon. Any extra is absorbed by plants. I believe inert gases that are overproduced have been the cause of the raising temperature. They can't tax you for that. So how long before we let them tax us for the air we breath.

  • Correct. Living creatures burn up carbon to produce carbon dioxide. Plants reverse the process when they get energy from the sun. The atmosphere carbon dioxide levels are very low compared to oxyygen.

  • Ok on the same page now because that is what I learnt as a chemistry and biology. I am prepared to believe fossil burning vechiles give of carbon if I could see proof. But the only people talking about carbon emissions are politicians. Forcing the masses to pay carbon tax to a problem that has not been proven. Why has nobody pointed this out to Mr Brown or is everyone really that scared. I am trying to the evidence before I do a blog on the subject.

  • Well the proof is easy. Carbon enters tank of vehicle in form of petrol or diesel (carbon and hydrogen based products). Vehicles as you know use oxygen in air to burn the carbon to make carbon dioxide gas and the hydrogen to make water. As every chemist will tell you, vehicles using diesel or petrol therefore emit in their exhaust a lot of carbon dioxide.

  • Would it not be true to say the more trees and forestation that gets cut down the less carbon is absorbed and turned back into oxygen. Thus the fewer forests we have the more carbon we have to caputre until we get to a point were there are no more forests to cut and the earth is bloated with carbon storage. I guess taxing deforestation is not so appealing to our greedy leaders. We live in the age of the paperless office yet we use more of the stuff each day without thinking of the waste.

  • Well if you cut down trees, the wood will rot or burn to produce carbon dioxide gas. Providing grants to stop deforestation is a good way to slow down global warming. Combined with other approaches.

  • @MicrosoftsourceCode There is sea life that lives off CO2. Also Oceans sequester alot, but it's reduced when the planet is warmer and also when we throw trash in it.

Developed countries throw away alot of trash, and much decays and produces methane gases too. UK discards approx. 1/3 of its daily produce in food per day. Increasing food production takes more energy, use of fossil made fertilizers. More energy use increases CO2 and other pollutants. Consistent waste is also a problem.

  • Wow this is an old conversation but I agree with the points you are making. We are made to worry more about carbon dioxide then all the pollutants we put in the sea and rivers

  • @MicrosoftsourceCode That's because when scientists truly look at the situation, they address it in a comprehensive manner. But the politicians get tunnel vision and just come up with some asonine idea that makes money on the stock market for themselves.

People see that, think it's the scientists, then question the integrity of science. It's not the science that's bad, it's the way it's being represented through political organizations, including Al Gore, the biggest polluter of all.

  • Some good points but what is scare is the way the politicians convince people that have a good science back ground that "CARBON" is causing global warming. Note that CARBON is a black substance and black is normally associated with bad things. When our leader Gordon Brown talks about global warming he talks about carbon emissions. They are very good @ using the power of suggestion to twist science in there favor

  • Forgive me for rambling on a bit but I think it is worth understanding the powers of suggestion that are used by are leaders. The media too is very good @ using suggestion to drive fear into the masses. I personally do not see the world running out of resources but the west running out of hard cash. After all there many 3rd world nations rich with raw resources that will one day make them world leaders

  • @MicrosoftsourceCode There is more to natural resources than one would think, looking at the big picture as demand increases. And it's not just Oil. It takes 2 gallons of fresh water for every gal of gasoline refined. There are 840 gal/barrel and Global consumption by 2003 was almost at 80 million barrels per day. Estimates by Sachs (Scientific American) is current car production rising to 1500 million on the road by 30 years. (Thank China) 1 car takes 120,000gal H2O and energy=20 barrels.

  • @NotaBeetleFan Oops. Let me correct that. There are 840 gallons of oil per barrel. How much gasoline refined depends on type of oil, Light, sweet, sour, heavy, etc.

  • @MicrosoftsourceCode Powers of suggestion is right. The liberals quote Obama's propaganda like the conditioned children of Huxley's "Brave New World." And if they face life, they have to do drugs to keep from falling apart.

  • Well fraud is a real concern with carbon offsetting but we should still use it as a way to get some companies to pay for others to save carbon emission. Patrick Dixon

  • This guy is worried about a fraudulent issue BEING frauded? LOL

  • Corporations making us pay for the air we breath at our own expense. How can i be sure a tree was planted, carbon was captured, etc. And why should these multi billion dollar corporations offset this to the paying public when they are the ones over the last 40 years who have poisoned and raped our planet. Shouldnt they use their multi billion dollar profits and clean up their own messes.

  • dmtk8 thats the dumbest thing i've ever heard.

  • The best way to deal with GW is to stop digging CO2 from the ground and releasing it into the atmosphere. The only way we can stop that is to make the electricity from renewables cheaper than the electricity from coal plants. It is two side process - making renewables cheaper (wich is under way) and making electricity from coal plants expensive.

Although this can turn into an enourmous fraud it will raise the cost of of electricity from coal plants. I think it is worthed.

  • @dmtk8 WE all need to find a way to provide our own energy. We use the energy we produce. Then companies would not have such control.

Problem: A big Biomass company is trying to build in our community. But they have a history of using treated wood and other dangerous chems in their biomass. The people don't want it.

So they went to State and are trying to pass laws taxing and regulating individual wood burning stoves.

The Co. can afford to buy carbon credits,, but not farmers. Hmm

  • I think that carbon emission trade itself is inefficiency. Instead of trying to reduce CO2 on local level governments, banks and corporations are creating absolutely artificial market. The very act of facilitation of this carbon credits is costing taxpayer money and enforcement of the contracts is very difficult and also cost money ... Oh, I forgot to mention that this way the banks will be able to write some thin air money.

  • Well carbon trading has a role to play but along with all other responses to global warming. Patrick Dixon

  • Nice Background looks like England next to a golf course

  • Dallas in Texas actually, I make videos wherever I am. Today I am in Melbourne, flew into Australia for conference on how to make buildings which use less energy.

  • Wow looks nice, didn't know it rained that much there. Hope the conference goes well for you :)

  • even today ... the pentagon's own defense institute has declared the war in iraq a debacle ... just another on purpose mistake that resulted in the mass murder of thousands and thousands of iraqi's ... killed in the name of oil ... they were in the way ... and search for 'wtc7 demolition report' and click on the first video .. the neocons clearly blew up the wtc bldgs ... and how about the neocon iraq battle cry ... bring 'em on ... but the most dangerous by far ... global warming is a joke

  • Well a fraction of what world spends on defence would solve global warming issues. Patrick Dixon

  • Excellent video. Great insight. Keep them coming

  • Thanks for your kind words. Keep favouriting what you like and commenting etc as it helps others to find what is helpful to you, Patrick Dixon

  • our fuehrer's global warming goals is being criticized by the rest of the world ... he is doing everything he can to sell mass murder but cannot get them to buy in on it like the rushie neocons did on 911 ... with global warming they intend to kill billions and make the nazi's look like choir boys ... search for 'wtc7 demolition report' and click on the first video .. the neocons clearly blew up the wtc bldgs ... the world knows all about it and aren't buying our fuehrer's mass murder sales job
