@kernowoggie uh maybe you haven't been to downtown st austell lately... The new part, there's a t k maxx... True there may not be a bunch of department stores, but there are (or were) a bunch of little clothing/ knick-knack stores... But my favorite part of st austell is the little chippie my grandparents showed me yum :)

St Austell is the sort of place you might see grim faced overweight women queuing to buy a cabbage. That might be possible if there was even a green grocers in the town centre! Mind you, no-where in Cornwall has a department store, not even Truro. Have to go up-country for them things! House of Fraser we need you!
