I will say this and leave it. I've been reading through the comments on here and it's gotten pretty crazy. I've been on both sides of the spectrum. I grew up baptist and cut my hair pretty often but after doing much BIBLICAL research I realized that the Pentecostal faith follows the Bible a lot more close in my opinion. I'm not saying there will not be tons of people from different denominations in both heaven and hell. It depends on the person not the denomination. By the way regardless of den
@akashia29 It doesn't have any significance, per say. It's a popular style in many apostolic/pentecostal circles, and the bump, or poof, gives some height to round out certain face shapes. It also helps balance the look of the hairstyle so you have more than just a large lump on the back or side of your head.
Don't judge her just because she has long hair. Just because she's a Christian, doesn't mean she can't look presentable. And fixing your hair doesn't take away your love for God or your beliefs. Keep on living as you are as long as it's what you believe in :)

Am i the only one who notices that the women of this faith go to great lengths to make their hair look shorter? . and their is nothing "glorious" about long straggley hair! the reason her hair is that long is cuz she is in a covenet with God. We beleave in not cutting our hair as it states sev. times in the bible. a womans hair is her glory and the Lord is pleased with her hair and I bet it dosent bother her one bit what people have to say about her hair ! @ShAy1757 The poof in the front is actually a religious hair-do. It is called the Pentecostal poof, but I call it the penni-poof :) They had a few Pentecostal girls at my old high school, and they all had the poof, and my friends called it the penni-poof. Kinda stuck :P

@butterflygreatone her hair is beautiful, and if you know anything about the hair u will know that it grows from the roots not the ends. and i dont think she has to worry about going bald. many older apostolic women that have never cut their hair in their life have thicker hair than many younger women. also ur right there is no significance to keeping her hair uncut unless you have no knowledge of the bible and the words written in it. :)
@apostalicpentecostal but the ends of her hair makes it look un kept and yes i have seen the older apostilc women with their long gray hair in buns totally unbecoming they can't even color it.there is no place in the bible were it says i woman should not wear makeup or have her hair trimmed.i agree long is is lovely mine is the the middle of my back,but with regular trims like a half inch every 4 to 5 months keeps it healthy.eventually the ends will split off and break.plus hairlines receding

I have tangly hair, and my hair is as long as yours. What's a quick updo bun that I can do to just wear around the house while i'm cleaning? Because all the buns that I do just fall out because I have too much hair and putting it into a bun, it just gets too heavy and falls apart! If you have a tutorial, can you please link it?

I enjoy your videos. Can you tell me how many sections and what directions? It's hard for me to distinguish in the video. But one instruction on a website said 6 sections 2 rolls up, 1 roll left, 1 roll right and 2 rolls down. Also your videos are a blessing, I wished I had these videos when i was in high school and college. I agree we should take the time (7 minutes?) to look our best. It is a uniform requirement at my job (hospital) hair below shoulder be in an updo or ponytail..

...if you're going to rely on 1Ti 2:9, & 1Pe 3:3. Peter says nothing about cutting hair. he says not to braid it. BUT, if you're going to follow this, you also can't wear gold, or CLOTHES!! Don't disect the verse! Although in it's context by chapter, anyone can see this is about the inward spirit. Paul on the other hand, wants women to live in shame. @tcprodriver Actually, it says to not "Broid" the hair. Which is the root of embroidery. They were weaving gold strands and jewels into their hair and it was a form of pride.
Once pride has made it's way into the everyday life (through the things we say, wear, watch, go, even what we EAT) it is easy to fall into extreme vanity.

Shorn/shaven=cut,shaved,etc. It says not to but 11-7 says a man ought NOT cover his head, meaning not have long hair. Just wanted to point out that it does say a woman shouldn't cut.
CLEARLY this lady has a knack for doing hair. She obviously likes to fix herself up and does a good job of it, and helps those with long hair to learn some pointers. HOWEVER, maintaining hair that is not healthy, because of a faulty biblical belief, is ignorant. Cutting hair is not different than cutting nails. She is also allowing her healthy hair to become unhealthy sooner by not keeping her hair trimmed. The "Old" Testament says NOTHING about a woman cutting her hair. As a matter of fact....

Great hairdo! We are children of the king and want to look nice of course. People who come on here saying her hair looks dry or damaged or whatever- says who! The world tells you your ends aren't perfect, the bible tells you it is our glory to have uncut hair. It is our crowning glory and protection. God bless you sis. god said to have uncut hair it should not be trim. if the bible said to only have long hair that be like discriminating ppl that dont cut there hair but it is "short". when your hair wont grow anymore and it remains un cut then it is long.

However i don't wear my hair up unless i'm having a bad hair day . i think we as apostolic women should wear it down as much as we can to tell people this is what we stand for this is how God wants it. and like you said how can anyone see the Glory God has given u if you hide it!

Dont use hairspray, it causes the hair to get thin, frizzy, and fall out..Try all natural Aloe Vera Gel, the clear kind..put some on your hands and apply it to your hair.Or use nothing..your hair looked good before you sprayed it.

A person that still believes in the powerful authority of the Holy Ghost and the authority God gave us over demons. The reference is typicaly also used with Pentecostals. Look up Acts 2:38 or just read the book of Acts. These people are known both for their faith, but also for standing out in a crowd because of their belief in not "looking like the world". Hence this video.
A Christian pentecostal denomination that says they teach "What the Apostles Taught".. In traditional also called old school, churches, the women don't generally wear makeup, jewelry etc. & in some churches skirts or dresses only & not pants... some teach that women wearing pants are a trick of the devil! LOL. They baptize in Jesus name, typically see t he godhead differently than Trinitarians, teach that Jesus is God, not the 3rd person in Trinity & in the UPC churches ladies wear big BUNS! ;p

God brought me out of that so i no longer believe wht i was taught while in tht church. i believe a woman can cut her hair and still be saved. i dont know abt the authority thing i said awhile back i do however believe its good for a woman to have long hair becuz the bible does say it but not to say she cannt cut her hair. either way there is more important things!

@butterlyfreatone: Read 1st Corinthians Chapter 11, it explains the non cutting of hair... and my dear, our hair grows at the roots, the ends have nothing to do with the growth of your hair. It's dead anyway, leave her alone. And yes there is something holy about un cut hair. Think before you speak please, and KNOW what you are talking about before you talk! @butterflygreatone her hair is beautiful, and if you know anything about the hair u will know that it grows from the roots not the ends. and i dont think she has to worry about going bald. many older apostolic women that have never cut their hair in their life have thicker hair than many younger women. also ur right there is no significance to keeping her hair uncut unless you have no knowledge of the bible and the words written in it. :)

@apostalicpentecostal but the ends of her hair makes it look un kept and yes i have seen the older apostilc women with their long gray hair in buns totally unbecoming they can't even color it.there is no place in the bible were it says i woman should not wear makeup or have her hair trimmed.i agree long is is lovely mine is the the middle of my back,but with regular trims like a half inch every 4 to 5 months keeps it healthy.eventually the ends will split off and break.plus hairlines receding

I enjoy your videos. Can you tell me how many sections and what directions? It's hard for me to distinguish in the video. But one instruction on a website said 6 sections 2 rolls up, 1 roll left, 1 roll right and 2 rolls down. Also your videos are a blessing, I wished I had these videos when i was in high school and college. I agree we should take the time (7 minutes?) to look our best. It is a uniform requirement at my job (hospital) hair below shoulder be in an updo or ponytail..

...if you're going to rely on 1Ti 2:9, & 1Pe 3:3. Peter says nothing about cutting hair. he says not to braid it. BUT, if you're going to follow this, you also can't wear gold, or CLOTHES!! Don't disect the verse! Although in it's context by chapter, anyone can see this is about the inward spirit. Paul on the other hand, wants women to live in shame. Blames them for the fall, and says their only good for making babies in verse 15. He's a fraud! But carry on if you need him to direct your paths

@tcprodriver Actually, it says to not "Broid" the hair. Which is the root of embroidery. They were weaving gold strands and jewels into their hair and it was a form of pride.
Once pride has made it's way into the everyday life (through the things we say, wear, watch, go, even what we EAT) it is easy to fall into extreme vanity.
And I happen to admire Paul. It takes courage, endurance, faith, and alot of LOVE to mentor and guide the church.

Shorn/shaven=cut,shaved,etc. It says not to but 11-7 says a man ought NOT cover his head, meaning not have long hair. Just wanted to point out that it does say a woman shouldn't cut.

CLEARLY this lady has a knack for doing hair. She obviously likes to fix herself up and does a good job of it, and helps those with long hair to learn some pointers. HOWEVER, maintaining hair that is not healthy, because of a faulty biblical belief, is ignorant. Cutting hair is not different than cutting nails. She is also allowing her healthy hair to become unhealthy sooner by not keeping her hair trimmed. The "Old" Testament says NOTHING about a woman cutting her hair. As a matter of fact....

However i don't wear my hair up unless i'm having a bad hair day . i think we as apostolic women should wear it down as much as we can to tell people this is what we stand for this is how God wants it. and like you said how can anyone see the Glory God has given u if you hide it!

Dont use hairspray, it causes the hair to get thin, frizzy, and fall out..Try all natural Aloe Vera Gel, the clear kind..put some on your hands and apply it to your hair.Or use nothing..your hair looked good before you sprayed it.

Look up Acts 2:38 or just read the book of Acts. These people are known both for their faith, but also for standing out in a crowd because of their belief in not "looking like the world". In traditional also called old school, churches, the women don't generally wear makeup, jewelry etc. & in some churches skirts or dresses only & not pants... some teach that women wearing pants are a trick of the devil! LOL. They baptize in Jesus name, typically see t he godhead differently than Trinitarians, teach that Jesus is God, not the 3rd person in Trinity & in the UPC churches ladies wear big BUNS! ;p

when i was in need in jasper texas of diapers n food during hurricane katrina..the BLACK church was the ONLY one that offered to help my family out...i admire you very much mrs.goss your are an inspiration to people everywhere..you stay true to your faith and still do what everyone else is doing in style....god bless you and your family
