I cant get mine to work :(. I have the 2011 model and it doesnt come with a disk. I'm trying to connect to a windows pc drive. Does anyone know can I install mac software through remote disk on the mac using a windows pc?

the dvd drive on my mac is broken and i dont want to pay !00s of dollas to get it fixed and my other option is to get a superdrive but can any other mac do this or is it only the macbook air?

but some games need you to put in the cd firstly then it can run.

do i need to put cd in whenever i want to play the games,dave?

I love the remote option on my Air, a bit slow but once you have loaded all the software you are going to need then that is the need for an optical drive finished. That is why I don't buy too much into the argument regarding lack of features. If you own an Air in the correct context there is never going to be any problems.
