this is my most pro champion and i just PWN WITH HIM,especially ADs. I make him full armor or armor/magic resist depending on the enemy team. When you turn on your w on full feed you get around 600-800 armor and your E deals half of your armor as damage :)

@CrashBandic00t96 with a frozen heart and randuins you are fine.You dont need any more armor.Best build is philosofers heart of gold magic resist boots, frozen heart , banshees veil, randuins and then you decide if you want more health,armor or provide more support.

@born2own Yeah,my build is pretty similar to this. Ninja tabi,Frozen hearth, Thornmail, Randuin's omen,Warmog, and force of nature incase they have APs,if not I make another frozen hearth :)

@CrashBandic00t96 i think that banshees veil is better than force of nature cause of the extra hp/mana and a chance to reflect a spell.If the other team have heroes like ashe blitzcrank then it is a must.Abysal scepter is also a nice weapon if you want magic resist.It reduses the magic resistance of the other team.If you have 2 casters take it.Just remember if you have more than 260 armor (without your second skill) you dont need anymore.

Just did a match with Malphite. i was Tank and had a nice ammount yi got killed. i saw Amumu going for him than shaco decieved and tried to kill him. used my ult Shaco died(low health) than i just Q, W and E and Amumu was dead than annie jumps out stunns me. and i just kill her for a nice triple kill.

-Regrowth pendant+mana potion-->Philosopher stone

-Boots of speed-->Mercury's treads

-Force of nature

-Sunfire cape

-Thornmail

-Frozen heart

The build can be completed under 40 min.

Great guide i watched it before when i first started playing malphite and it helped me out a lot. the only thing is the item build is outdated now. its not hard to build malphite just go for HP tank items

(for both builds i get philo stone and heart of gold first)

Full tank build: merc treads > randuins > shirelias > sunfire > banshees > (then get whatever here, force of nature is good if you need MR but it doesnt give health but the movespeed is good)

Atmogs build: merc treads > warmogs > atmas > triforce > randuins > banshees/shirelias

i usually will get banshees over shirelias but both are good items, if theres almost no stuns on the other team shirelias is a better buy and you already have philo stone from before so its quite cheap.

also dont underestimate triforce on malphite, he can proc it quite frequently with his q and it enables him to stick to one target with melee and you are slowing 2 at all times.

@Midnighthobo89 *** i made no sense at the end there. with triforce you can stick to one target with melee and then Q a different target so you are slowing multiple people. also randuins very good item on malphite the CDR is great for QQing people and the active is OP after hitting multiple people with your ult (and it makes him that much more deadly to AD champs).

Why do people say that this guide's outdated? Even Colby himslef... I mean there ain't any major changes! Malphite's q range got shorter,two sunfire cape's don't stack maybe some damage changes but still he's the same old Malphite he was... Runes and masteries are correct! Items too (except that double/triple sunfire cape cause passive no longer stacks). If someone disagrees then he has to go play with the pre-mentioned items and own! Then he will undestand that he's wrong! Keep it up Colby! 8-)
