use the cape power-up to flay through as many coins as you can, there are allot more that 400 coins out there in that area, I think. You can get allot of lives there. there are coins on the gound too. just make sure to get to the end of the level before your time runs-out.

I know this can happen in the game, So I try to avoid it. If I have the cape power-up, I use it for stuff. There's a place in that game to get extra lives easely, and many of them. you know that place that you can get the feather power-up that gives you a cape, that the power-up is just just on the ground after you get through one of the pipes there in that level? Well there's a big coin on top of the really tall pipes there that you have to run up the side of it, hit that coin,

I've been able to survive this only once on this level. I pressed down (to crouch) as I was sliding towards the wall on the left side. I was on the original SNES console when I did it. (If anyone else is able to do it let me know!)

There also is a Mole level where you can run on the top of the level in the ceiling... cant remember the exact level...you have to wedge yourself into the wall and ceiling at the same time... (you cant beat the game like that you cant get back out of the wall...)
