ever heard of windshield wipers? instead of fluid you would build a fancy nasa wiper, perhaps polarizing some high tech nanofiber array to pick up dust yet not scratch the panels as it wiped the panels clean, depolarizing and safely shaking the dust off. Or something geniuses could come up with that I can't ;)
Mission Manager you have to come to terms with reality. You are not an astronaut in space. Using 60s style amateur radio audio does not make it so. Even if it sounds a bit cool. Roger roger.
its a sad day for NASA when they don't have enough funding for, BOUNTY... the quicker picker upper

That is pretty impressive - those rovers have stood the test of time. Still, I hope the new rover has a mechanism for cleaning dust. Mars has plenty.

NASA gave the rovers a 3 month life span so never envisioned this being a problem (they've exceeded this initial 3 months by 4 years plus)
