i think it was because joaquin was on this show recently and he was acting quite odd - not really answering the questions and just not being very talkative for being on an interview -and because liev didnt really understand the question and didnt give much of an answer i think he was comparing himself to joaquin - im sure if u type in joaquin phoenix on david letterman u will see the interview
