  • Lib Dems can make no difference, why bother?. Take up home baking.

  • this sounds good, it's nice to see he implemented all of this when he got some power.. LOL

  • Well, we all now know this was a lie...

  • Comment removed

  • A complete tosser of the highest order.

Failed policies , bereft of direction and like all the other political groupings not doing what is best for the country in terms of the environment protecting habitats, health investing more in technology, immigration ie curtailing it , investing in public transport . truly punishing criminals and deterring it and so on but followinga rigid idiotic dogma.

    A proven consummate liar.

  • NEVER TRUST AN ORANGE!

  • ID RATHER BE A LIBERAL THAN A TWAT. ID RATHER BE A LIBERAL THAN A TWAT. GO FUCK JACQUI SMITH YOU STUPID TWAT CAUSE ID RATHER BE A LIBERAL THAN A TWAT

  • Why did Nick Clegg cross the road?

    Because he said he wouldn't.

  • sell out.

  • Lib Dems will do things differently than labour...they'll pocket more of your with a "green lie". Inspirational speech of hollow words shall fall upon us.

  • message to you clegg. fuck off you 2 faced cunt. you are a sell out merchant. you have no morals. you are camerons puppy dog. you are a loser and a fraud, you are a liar and a cunt so fuck off. give the stolen money back you thieving twat

  • pussyole

  • fucking brokeback bisexual cunt

  • A Sun poll says the Tories under David Cameron are racing ahead?

A Sun Poll what a load of crap they are at it again, putting an eyecatching story of little substance (children's clothes) on the front page hoping to grab your attention and then hoping you will digest the manipulating political crap within. Don't buy that crap and don't vote Tory.

    They obviously think your stupid.

  • Shit lighting, shit sound, which amateur 12 year old set this up....??

Not that I care though.... it makes Klegg look like even more of a penis than usual.

  • fuck of you muppet

  • @lastofthewolfs do you mean "puppet"?

  • IN effect .......what he is saying is that everyone suck but the lib dems. There is a reason why the lib dems never get voted in.....parties of the past! hardly lib dems dont have a system they just do what ever labour and tories do and say they do it better.........

  • you have no idea what communism/socialism/marxism is.

you know nothing. you are an idiot.

nothing goes further left than communism.

lib dems support the free market. lib dems want a mixed economy.

communism is the exact opposite, it is a classless society. you no knowing.

  • @Ilikenuman No you are the idiot who happens to be one sick little zionist as well. Now that this fella changed his tune somewhat and hooked up with the conservatives he was bitching about perhaps he will understand a pissed off Canadian father and make a call to the Nottingham cops for me and ask why they allow you to sexually harass children on the Internet EH Owen Baby?

  • @DavidRaymondAmos yes im sure Nick Clegg is really interested in the bitchings of a delusional old fart like you.

  • you clearly don't know a lot about politics.

  • All Party's CLAIM to have the answers to the Global Problems. In that Case Why Can't there be a "United Party" All Party's around like the Knights of the Round Table. Then Perhaps they can Argue until they can all agree what is the best Action to take. Dunno which Soap Opera is best to watch. Eastenders or the Debates in the House Of Commons.

  • if all parties unite, it would be an elected dictatorship. what if they stepped out of line?

  • clever

  • look where England has gone in the past 40yrs and Lib's don't have the answer, we will just go into islam Britain so fast ur nether see it coming.

Five sharia courts have been set up in London, Birmingham, Bradford and Manchester and Nuneaton, Warwickshire.

Lawyers have issued grave warnings about the dangers of a dual legal system and the disclosure drew criticism from Opposition leaders.

  • In my opinion Lib dems have always been one step ahead in terms of policy making. They get my vote.

  • I'm a long time Lib Dem supporter and will continue to be one as long as the party continues promoting policies I support. I'm just so annoyed by the fact that Lib Dems always try to slander the Conservatives. I'm not saying anything about the Tories themselves, it's just that all the Lib Dems need to do is explain their policies and how they would bring them about, that's all they need to get support

  • LibDem - LibDum

  • very clever. any substance?

  • Wow, racism we can believe in! muslims, you've got my vote.

    Tosser

  • Five sharia courts have been set up in London, Birmingham, Bradford and Manchester and Nuneaton, Warwickshire. The government has quietly sanctioned that their rulings are enforceable with the full power of the judicial system, through the county courts or High Court. Previously, the rulings were not binding and depended on voluntary compliance among Muslims.

Lawyers have issued grave warnings about the dangers of a dual legal system and the disclosure drew criticism from Opposition leaders.

  • I really like Nick Clegg despite the fact that his party isn't one I'd normally turn to...it's quite the opposite actually. But he is the only one right now making any sense. Someone should tell him to keep his confidence up, make more noise and get the media buzzing. If he gets his ass in gear he could very well surprise people at the next election. I for one will be paying more attention to Clegg & Co.

  • @bizou16 OH HOW YOU WERE WRONG!!

  • it's all good, i support your ideas. but it's too easy to always blame the government

  • i think he's the poor man's Barack but hey he's got my vote

  • I know its cheesey, but comon, the messege is a great one.

  • cheesy

  • I used to be a Lib Dem. But I signed the cannabis votes pledge on the pledgebank website promising not to vote for any candidate that wants to keep cannabis illegal regardless of their party or any other policies they have.

Since the Lib Dem MPs seem to be trying to back peddle on their decriminalisation policy I doubt I'll be voting Lib Dem again, although it does depend on who the local candidate is - I might be lucky and get one of the few good ones to vote for.

  • I thought they'd be pro decriminalising cannabis.

Nick Clegg looks and sounds like the guy who used to smoke cannabis.

  • i agree with you. and its just been reclassified to b - illogically and against the advice of the government only advisory body. still, the liberal democrats are the most liberal party on the issue save the cannibis legalisation party, which has no other policies at all. your sort of stuck with the libdems

  • The messages in Nick's address to The Climate March(ers) on Parliament Square, in December 2008 were spot on. These are the messages that need to be built into ALL addresses.

The truth is tough, but it is the only thing that will set us free. 'Ducking it' will end in tears - our childrens. Please show strong leadership on this issue. It is THE only issue that matters, since if we dont have a fully working planet, we soon wont have any other worries. Just regrets.

    Thank you, Dave.

  • Sorry but not enough leadership on climate change. 'Switching to green energy' is not like changing the channel on the TV.

We need strong leadership and inspiration to get us through the carbon and climate crunch

We can survive peak oil and climate crisis - but only if we face up to them

  • I love the Lib Dems and their heads are in the right places, but Nick Clegg is so... cheesy?

I laugh at his speeches! I like them, but look at the dramatic downward glance at 0:21 - cheesy!

Still, he gets my vote. What other choice is there?

    xo

  • Excellent message, shows some real leadership at the moment... good to stay away from the reactionary path the cons and lab follow, you can't have short term measures for long term problems.

  • Nick man, start visiting colleges and unis SOON. If the bottom voting age bracket sees high turnout, it can push you over the top. I'm a student and i PROMISE you, you have to get out here otherwise 'change' will stay rhetorical! PLEASE! lol

  • The Defunkt Pistol: The party already does reasonably well with students; why do you think many big student areas elect Lib Dem MPs? Of course, I'm not saying there's no room for improvement.

Change can't be achieved by one man, look at the Obama movement: a massive ground operation, which was only possibly because lots of normal people *got involved*. Nick can't come and see every uni and college, as nice as that would be. It's up to you, as a student, to help campaign for what you want.

  • Clegg does not get a fair crack of the whip from the media i suppose. He could put forward an action man image been seen climbing mountains or running, weight lifting with pictures of labour and tory leaders on each side of the weights LOL. With the theme tune eye of the tiger in the background.

  • A very positive message, a refreshing change, I support you all the way here and it is about time that wasteful beauracratic and unfair burdens on ordinary working families are challenged. I stand with you all the way. Go for it Nick, and do everything in your power to get yourself known in the media. It's votes for the Liberal Democrats which will count towards your message, I will be willing to stand with you on your common sense principles you set out here.

    Simon

  • I'm with you Nick, it's time people stop vioting for the conservatives ort labour just because they're the main parties, just make sure you really go for it this year, i'll be with you all the way, have unique policies but also, don't forget you need to work with gordon brown right now, we're in a recession, time for the government to untie instead of slinging mud at each other

  • whos nick clegg?

  • To make Britain 'GREAT' again, we need to start with bringing back some old British values, starting with schools, and giving teachers more powers to deal with unruly children. There is no discipline anymore and unruly children grow up being unruly uncaring adults. This country needs a fresh approach to government and leadership, with new ideas. Nick Clegg is the man to do this - I wouldnt mind working for him .... anything going?????

  • very positive and effective. excellent

  • We need less greed and selfishness; more fairness and generosity - and good sense. Best wishes for 2009.

    AnnaC

  • He is the only guy with his head screwed on the right way, Gordon Clown and his disciples havent a clue, they dont listen to people, they waste money, they lose data and expect us to trust them? The Tories are no better they have had illegal hand outs to help get them in power they dont care about people its power they want sod them lot am a liberal and proud of it. If only enough people would give the liberals a chance.

  • Why would they do that? Why would the electorate give the Lib Dems a chance when they don't even know who they are or what they believe in?

So what do the Lib Dems believe in? Answer: NOTHING. Sure, Nick's speech sounded good. And they'll champion a liberal cause if they think it's a vote winner. But they're still not real liberals are they? They won't champion an unpopular liberal policy.

So what does that make them then? Just another bunch of politician who will say or do anything for power.

  • Why would you want liberal policies. The only liberalism I would vote for is classical liberalism, which is what the Thatcherite Conservatives used to espouse, but my party has been overrun by One Nation Tories unfortunately. Liberal Democrats are just a carbon copy of Labour, socialism with a smiley face.

  • Fail, Labour hasnt existed since Blair turning it into new labour (which is far more right wing and consrevative than socialist), the Lib Dems are a Liberal party, Labour is a socialist party, big difference.

  • Blair was mre socialist than you realise.

  • @Mickmars90 was he hell, he reformed Labour as Tory from the inside, which made you not even being able to stick an anorexic cigarette paper between the parties

  • The State takes 52% of the national income now. That is more than Anthony Wedgewood Benn and Michael Foot ever achieved. They have redistributed money through massive public spending which has given us a massive debt and unparalled fiscal deficit, and they have invoked the name of morally and intellectually bankrupt economist in Keynes to justify it.

  • Fail, Lib Dems are very clear about what they would do an what they believe in.

  • That's even more hilarious than your last comment. The Lib Dems are the most opportunistic bunch of shitheads in the parliament of whores. One day they are Gladstonian liberals, the next day they insult markets and become social democrats. They lie about Europe.

  • you make sense. good luck in the new year

  • You make quite a bit of sense to me, Nick, and I applaud you and the LibDems for working for change in the House of Commons, and for all of Britain.

I wish both you and the Liberal Democrats the best of success in the coming session of Parliament.

  • Sounds good to me!
