Hello !! Very awesome video ! I never manage to take so beautiful pictures of stars, could you tell me approximately which settings to use ? Aperture, shutter speed, iso ?
is it possible to see the night sky like that without a camera thats been subject to light exposure..... ive just booked a holiday to canada to see the northern lightsm but that is just amazing... seriously if i seen a sky like that, i would probebly have a fit
watch carefully at 1:15 you can see the headlights of the teamrope menbers, they climb during the night because the ice is really bad in the day at latitude cero

I live here and have traveled through the Cotopaxi and have never witnessed such beautiful space life all around. Every time I go to school I see the Cotopaxi from a distance and it looks like a real life painting so I suppose I should catch it at night one of these days because its just a cruise of one or two hours for me :)
@Jfrog90 On the contrary, yes this exact volcano is nature at it's best and is hardly surrounded by pollution, but the rest of my country is just a polluted wasteland.
how are these shots made??????? i tried to make a night time lapse, but my stars leave a line behind them due to the long exposures...if i lower the exposure the stars are not visible..... i'm clueless too....
Absolutely awesome. Congratulations on a brilliant piece of film-making. I'll be showing this one to my kids to teach them what happens to the sky at night and how the earth moves.
My God, it's full of stars! great video, remarkable view of the Milky Way and what appears to be meteors streaking accross. thanks and shoot some more just like this one.
wow this is very beautiful. I would stay up all night to get this when there were no clouds, but at that time of year and altitude that would be rare. Very nice once again !
APOD: Volcano is first seen through breaks in clouds Soon the clouds have dissipated & a sky filled with stars seems to rotate about the peak. The band of our Milky Way Galaxy, the dark Coal Sack nebula, & the Southern Cross can all be seen overhead. Satellites streak by from several directions. Soon clouds roll by and seem to make the brightest stars sparkle. On the volcano (at about 1:13), the lights of climbers flash. Near the end, a bright airplane passes over the peak with a residual trail
very interesting thanks

Nice! I visited the volcano in September. Remember seeing a climber from Holland who'd gone to the top. He was very sick from the altitude!

Can somebody explain the technic of making such a video ?
As far as i can tell, the photographer isn't using long exposure stills combined together because you can see planes smoothly crossing the sky!
So i'm clueless...
