The protagonist, driven mad by the Vietnam war & the grotesque morality of life, is kidnapped & injected with truth serum. In his search for a contaminated box of nuclear material he finds the body of Laura, a victim of the Blamo killer, who turns out to be Scottie Pippen. He sees the ex-NBA star as an alter ego & sets about dismantling him with drugs & mind games. Eventually he finds redemption as he rescues a child that's been raised by wolves.
