@jjjag14 it's special type of clothing. It's stacked on layer by layer and spring loaded and comes of with the press of a button, when the hoop goes over she just hits a tiny button and it snaps off. You can buy quick change clothes online at magic shops.

@freddie871 when the act begines the clothes are stacked on, and are able to fall off with the press of a button, when they step into the ring they just release a mechanism or unsap on button(mostly the partner will do it and the entire outfit will come off. If you watch closely in the video you can see right before she drops the ring her partner unsnaps a button behind her and the entire dress falls off turning purple as she drops the ring. The old clothes fall in a pile with the prop.

I saw them do this at an NBA game in Portland. Impressive that they can perform this act while surrounded on all sides by spectators, They execute this trick very well. Best halftime show I've ever seen, glad I didn't leave my seat to go get a beer or something.

great trick. its impossible to catch all the little mistakes from a crowd. for example, if you go to 0:10, you can see the top of the dress tear in two and subsequently fall through the slits in the fabric of the hula hoop. If you were in the crowd, you wouldn't have seen it. I had to watch it up close

@mandbmom Basically most of these are done with the top half splitting and dropping down covering the the old skirt and revealing the new top half like turning the page of a book. That's why the skirt keeps getting longer each time. The lining of the old top half forms the outside colour of the new skirt.

her dress is made of a special type of film called OLED which is a thin film that they made into fabric, a long chiton that responds to an electronic signal which is sent by a mini computer. So u say could she is wearing a computer screen which changes colors in response to the signals. Now the dress changing, shapes is done by a robotic muscle system that is in the dresses' petticoat, and it changes the shape. This stuff takes teamwork and it DEFINATELY takes talent to be able to do this.

If you watch carefully, especially when they were on America's Got Talent, you can see that her dress length gets longer each time...I think they are pulled from the shoulder and fall down, and each layer covers the one before it. Because you'll also notice the size of her chest is bigger in the beginning and her hips are bigger by the end.
