I heard Joe Bonamassa before today, but I never actually listened to him. While searching for Eric Clapton to listen to, I stumbled upon "Prisoner" by Joe. I don't even know what to say. After listening to a few songs, I've been touched emotionally in ways that I never knew possible. After listening to Joe's music for months now, I've sorted out that the thing that sets Joe apart is an uncanny knack for mastering any genre of music he wants. Clapton's unique style differed because he couldn't exactly match his idols. He always sounded like Clapton. Joe can do some people's style's better than they can. At times you'll hear "Frampton", or "Billy Gibbons," or "Jimmy Page". But he's not a clone. As he's grown, he's combining all of these elements into "Joe Bonomassa."

Well worth going to see Joe performing live. Saw him recently and he spends a good two hours on stage, so no need for a support act. Saw him a few years ago in Cambridge (the Junction) as well - fantastic talent. Plays flat out for the whole set so offers great value for money.

This is my favourite JB song; beautiful emotional guitar playing. His live cds are brilliant, hope you enjoy them
