  • Thanks as thats one beautiful song..I love watching them perform it..he is a genius..

  • Love the war paint on the drummers <3

  • i love this video; the male female representation with the costumes

  • Love this song, for some reason Chloe reminds me of Hilary Duff. In her expressions and movements especially in the beginning of the song. And something about the way she looks and her face. "i don't mean this badly". Amazing singers. Lisa is still my favorite!

  • im one of those people that sings when no one is home. i was singing along to this song and my mom comes home (i didn't notice) and when she heard me, she said that she had no clue that i loved to sing. now, i have an awesome voice teacher. BEST SLIP-UP OF MY LIFE!

  • @BlueFireTigerLion good for you. hope you will get some success. good luck.

  • @dhom100 thanks!

  • people are being super oobber sarcastic when they say they lie music like justin beiber or hannah montana

  • Does anyone know if this song wa written just for them or is it an old song??I love it and they sing it so well..I can listen to it (and do) over and over...and does anyone know the words to it I just can make out some of it..???

  • @sefrims1 It was written for them my David Downes (the piano player and music decider/editer dude)

  • absolutely beautiful......thanks girls.....

  • I am so looking forward to seeing Celtic Women and their wonderful Orchestra tonight at the beautiful Mountain Winery in Saratoga, CA

  • We only have 14 shows in 11 cities to go in North America....then a little time off with our friends and families at home - then off to Australia!

  • I hope they do not replace Alex. She has great energy and sings very enthusiastically and she seems to fit with the other ladies quite well.

  • @etpeloquin....I guess you haven't been keeping up...Alex has already taken a break from touring with us... The current members are now Chloe, Lisa, Lynn, and Mairead.

  • thumbs up if u like everything they wear!

  • omg. i was skimming thru channels when i heard this & it was so memorizing 8D

  • We need more Lynn

  • she is such a little pixie and Ray Fean only makes her more adorable!

  • I love Chloe at 3:29-3:34! She looks like she lives for this. Of course, she sounds like she lives for it. She's my favorite.

Lynn and Alex(?)(the one with the sort of short curly hair) sort of tie, Lynn's a bit ahead. Then the violin girl and lastly, the other one. (I don't know their names, except for Chloe and Lynn.)

  • @XxChibiLibbyxX

The Members as they exist in this performance are:

    Chloë Agnew

    Lisa Kelly

    Lynn Hilary (Straight Brown/black hair)

Alexandria (Alex) Sharpe (Curly brown hair)

    Máiréad Nesbitt (Fiddler)

  • i just so them at bethel ny on jul 24 2010 i love them so much

  • at 1 min 57 sec in the choir singer on the right looks sooo goofy love the song tho

  • @TheCelticwoman2010 it looks like ryan stiles! haha.

  • @lilpeach714 I agree It does look rather odd. Nothing against them they are one of my all time favorites, but I have seen Lisa Kelly preform else where and she did not hold her arms like that. It seems to be something unique to Celtic Woman, but in no way takes away from their amazing music

  • After an incredible journey to Australia we are packing our bags and heading to Canada this week for rehearsals and to kick off the summer leg of our Songs from the Heart summer tour!!!

  • One of my all-time favorite songs!!! I will never get tired of listening to Celtic Woman! They are spectacularly amazing! Love their voices!! They rock!!

  • Their voices are great, but they seem stiff by the way they hold their arms against their sides. I am have sung in many groups and know that you have to hold your arms still, either to the side or behind you, but they just look uncomfortable they way they hold them.

  • @lilpeach714 is that standard protocol for all singers? these are world class singers with many years of experience. they would know how to hold their arms. they have their stage manager and have to practice their routine for each song and look good enough before they can perform for a live audience.

  • @dhom100 I am sure they have years of practice, i was just commenting on how it looks, nothing bad. I have many years of practice as well in my younger days, we traveled many months putting on musical productions. We just had our arms down at our sides. I have noticed those that are in back up are more relaxed with their arms.

  • @lilpeach714 I believe one of the reasons they stand like that is because it forces them to stand straighter therefore opening the diaphragm to its max.....oh and as for the back up singers, near the end the one on the right in the green is Gorgeous!

  • @olchevyman That my friend is Helen Kelly, Lisa's sister, she's been with us since the Slane Castle performance in 2006

  • @gaeilge101 Helen took a break during the spring tour but she's on the summer tour and I don't know if she's going to be on the Australia tour

  • @gaeilge101 where/who is Helen Kelly in this video? is she by any chance the one standing beside mairead at the very end of the song because i couldn't see anyone else there apart from everyone i knew i.e. celtic woman, the choir, the band and the conductor.

  • @089what Helen Kelly is Lisa's sister, she's been part of the "choir" since 2006. If you pause the video @ 4:45 Helen is the "girl" on the right with the long hair...

  • @gaeilge101 they tottally look like sisters.

  • @gaeilge101 also, since alex has left celtic woman to spend time with her family

(good luck alex! you've been great!) who will be replacing her or will there be no replacement?

  • @089what So far there are no plans to replace Alex before the Australian tour, after that I am pretty sure one will be named...

  • Comment removed

  • @olchevyman You are 100% correct....that stance with the arms held that way opens the diaphragm...

  • th greatest song EEEEVVVVEEEERRRR!!!!!!!!!! it sends chills down my spine everytime i hear it!

  • I had only heard this song once or twice a few weeks ago, yet it obviously made an impression. Twice now I have woken up in the morning with its refrain ("Open your heart; I am calling you") going through my head. It took me a couple of days to remember enough to figure out what song the refrain was from, but I eventually did and I'm glad I identified it just now. I didn't know a song that you only listen to once or twice could have such an effect on your subconscious!

  • so i have offically decided that the 2 people that downed this video have lost their minds and do NOT have taste in music.

  • the first girl to sing in this video is by far the most beautiful of them all....... just my opinion

  • @zachman477

    You're absolutely right

    She is very beautiful

  • this song is the best song that i have heard yet. they have great voices and they sound like angels.

  • OMG! this song send chills up my spine!

  • All I can say is 3 words: This is music

  • i'm so sad that alex decided to leave celtic woman but at least it's not some one like lisa or lynn because then i would totally freak out!!!!

  • Will be seeing them live for the 3rd time in August...taking the kiddies with me too, they love listening to CW more than I do. =)

  • Even though i came back into celtic woman with new people and new amazing songs! i love it even more...keep up with the good songs girls! i love the way all of your voices can join as one and cete something so amazing. you truely are the voice of ireland! keep it up.

  • everytime i listen to this it always give me goosebumps :)

    love them celtic woman

  • i wish they would come back to hershy again because i would definately be there.this concert is the best thing i ever done in my life.please come back.

  • Oh you girls were amazing. Just pure bliss the whole way through! THANK YOU LISA AND CHLOE FOR THE AUTO GRAPHS(and not telling security that I snuck into the Meet and Greet)... I can't wait to see you again in September, even though I'll be in Phx, I'm so driving back to Tucson to see you!!!

  • We are taking the month of June off to go home for awhile. Then we will be back starting July 12 for 47 more shows, the first 8 shows will be in Canada then back to the U.S. We'll be visiting some new venues and some of our favorites ending up in Morrison CO at Red Rocks on Sep 12

  • Ilove celtic womanso much

  • Lynn is so incrediable I agree but Alex is more pretty/and lynn

  • I love all of them to death.

They are coming to Adelaide for the 1st time, and I hope that the tix don't sell out. I have dreamed of seeing the girls live for as long as I can remember. Listening to "Songs Of The Heart" as I type and have about every emotion running through me. They are all perfection. I just love them so much <3. <3.

  • to wilvalkhof i'll pray for you to have this wonderful experience to see them in person. i concider this concert the best thing i have done i really loved it these ladies are fantastic.

  • We are getting ready to announce some more Songs from the Heart tour dates for this summer in North America - including Canada

  • @gaeilge101

please wan the coming to holland

  • This song is so good I love alexs voice it sounds so nice and pretty

do you know if Alex sharpe has kids

  • @dublinireland100 She said she has a son. 5 year old I think. her figure is still amazing. Lisa's figure is too. some women are just born to look good.

  • Happy Cásca gach duine

  • Realmente maravilhoso! Divino!

  • ever since i seen this concert i can't stop watching ther e videos. also i was lucky enough to get one there shirts thanks to my sister who also loved this concert. keep up the great work ladies your wonderful

  • tonight is the night to see these young ladies in concert i can't wait to go.i know they are going to be great.

  • @whispers2245 you are lucky to have see the lady´´s

  • only 6 more days left until i see this great concert. i really can't wait to go i know they are going to be fantstic

  • if you pout the ladies her naams the are c of cloe

    a of alex

    lof lisa

    lof lynn

  • I think I get you're saying. the CALL C-Chloe, A-Alex, L-Lisa, L-Lynn. interesting catch.

  • yes i do

  • I guess a song without Lynn would be a CALM song. C-Chloe, A-Alex, L-Lisa and M-Maired : )

  • lol this is an interesting game we're playing. a song without Chloe would be MALL haha.

  • The beginning with Mairead's solo has a...cold, beautiful, and wild emotion to it. Like running through an ancient and lonely forest at twilight--a sort of free feeling.

  • that is what i was thinking to ;)

  • I don't know why they don't have Carolina Rua on the dvd!!!!!!!!! :o

  • @steveVenura i was hopeing that she would at least sing it on tour but she didn't :( i was sad :(

  • @steveVenura also haha i think it's copy right things, she sang it on her solo cd and idk i guess there were copy right things hahah idk.

  • Lynn is incredible and adorable here..

Don't get me wrong, I love all the ladies, but Lynn hooks me. Her voice fits very well to the song. When she enters, David watches her a little moment and seems to think: 'Good, good... well done miss'

And how she looks contact with Alex at 3:20. Lynn is very expressive, only in a more secretive way. I love her. A serene and mysterious appearance with an soaring and stunning voice, with a mystical flair...

And the intro is a GREAT finding of David :)

  • lisa is so so so pretty:)

  • Lisa's so pretty :D

  • I ♥ ♥ YOU CELTIC WOMAN!!!!!!

  • to me the music at the begining of the video. the very begining like the first few seconds sounds sort of romanticly forbidden, i dunno just my perception, but its a beautiful song

  • cant wait until they come to scramento. lynn is so hot.

  • This is like ten times less artificial the most music out there now. Orla Fallon was true Celtic though go look at her solo songs she was incredible.

  • oh yes cause anytime anyone knows how to do their job...it must be because its artificial...

  • Sarcasm, I love it!!! I think people are so used to today's "pop" stars that they don't recognize real talent and music. Everyone just want's instance gratification, so the industry suffers. No one wants to take the time to produce quality material. Fortunately there are groups like Celtic Woman.

  • this's just my opinion

  • i can't wait until march 16th to see these young ladies in concert it will be the best thing happen to Hershy pa.

  • This is my favorite song by Celtic Woman. I have been known to listen to it for hours. I even included it in a story I wrote once.

  • 1:04 the guy on the left with the messy redish hair's kinda cute =]

  • no he's not. the girls are much cuter.

  • celtic woman wow hermosas voces wow hermosas chicas wow celtic woman es lo maximo desde mexico df saludos espero algun dia verlas por tierras mexicanas

  • We have arrived, we are in Roanoke, Virginia and busy getting set up and the "girls" are busy rehearsing. It's snowing like crazy, we don't get snow like this in Ireland. I can hear the snow calling so I am thinking about grabbing Chloe and some of the others and going out to have a huge snowball fight.....

  • I like the beginning...Its the best part =)

  • 4:04 chloe's eyes are so pretty!

i absolutely loved the drums at the beginning...great beats!

  • Alex really has the most amazing smile and body movement ever!!

  • Opening a concert is so important and Chloe didn't disappoint. amazing stage presence at such a young age. she can probably be an actress too.

  • Don't forget she opened the Helix Centre performance and she was only 15 then and she nailed that one too. She really has grown up before our eyes....

  • @gaeilge101 and in an interview, Lisa seems like almost a proud big sister of Chloe. despite the recognition, she doesn't seem to let it get to her head, at least that's how she appears on camera. I don't know how she acts off camera.

  • Lisa and Chloe hit it off from the start, Chloe spends a lot of time with Lisa's children too.

And Chloe is the same off stage as on, always ready to talk to people, always ready to laugh with them. She loves talking to children and takes very seriously her being a "role model"..

  • @gaeilge101 thank you Sam for the info and appreciation for my support. trust me, Celtic woman, by being great role models which are somewhat lacking these days, give more to fans and the world than we could to them. and I can see that about Chloe loving children and they loving her.

  • In fact now that I think about it. Chloe has been first to sing at every one of the performances that were recorded for DVD.

  • I also liked the drums in this song. Very energetic!

  • The Call...Wow! Very beautifully done by Celtic Women...Bravo:)

  • I miss Meav and Orla very much but I also think Lynn and Alex are equally as talented and also have very angelic voices! I love every member of Celtic Woman, former and current because they all bring something sooooo special to Celtic Woman.

  • they sing beautifully, are absolutely gorgous, the sing from their heart, the stage is set up nicely, their emotions are so projected through their singing, but what makes this whole video is the wind

  • i will gladly open my heart for you gorgous women

  • 3:03 - 3:13 Alex really sounded great there...Im really starting to like her a lot. She is very versatile.

  • I have to say, the new singers are lovely, but I miss Orla and Meav. To me they were the only ones in the group who had very celtic sounding voices, now everyone kinda...doesn't.

  • yeah i see your point. the thing i most enjoyed about Meav and Orla being there is that their voices were soooo unique. so i definately see ur point about making the shows better each time, i really enjoyed the combination of voices with chloe, meav, orla and lisa. but things will keep changing

  • I really enjoyed the almost haunting quality of Orla's voice when she sang a celtic song. I think people would like Lynn's voice a little more if they showcased it more often like they often did with Meav. I do dearly miss Meav's Danny Boy solo. I believe that Danny Boy is more intimate when sung as a solo. Granted, the group singing Danny Boy as a quartet is fine. Just not quite the same.

  • It wasnt almost haunting it WAS haunting. Amazing really.

  • Hmm. I see your point though I don't necessarily agree. Consider this.

The first special was meant to be a one night deal. They had a relatively low budget and couldn't do much more than just sing at the Helix Dublin.

Now they know what they have. They can tour, they can make more specials, etc. Each special needs to outdo the one before, or people will say, "Oh such and such special was better than this," etc.

Slane was setting the bar pretty high, so now they have to do an enormous show at

  • Powerscourt House and Gardens, and make it much bigger than Slane, visually and musically.

So there's a need for the visual appeal.

You're entitled to your own opinion about how the girls sing. In my humble opinion, I think that Meav, Alex, Orla, and Lynn bring their own unique qualities to the show, and all are equally wonderful. I personally loved Meav's Danny Boy, Orla's Harry's Game, Alex's You'll Be In My Heart, and Lynn's Carolina Rua. All unique in their own right.

  • Omg.............When they are all taking turns singing in the begining I cant help but think of how amazing Orla wouldve sounded singing those words.......At 2:06 - 2:13 Lisa does sound amazing though! I really love Lynn actually and her beauty is without compare......

  • Yes, when Alex sings "Sometimes it is in the sea, sometimes in the sky", Orla would have been perfect for that part! Not that Alex wasn't too, but IF Orla was still there....

  • I believe Orla did sing that part on the greatest journey CD

  • @actorwithattitude Orla did sing that part on the greatest journey CD.

  • Orla wouldve sounded incredible I just know it. :(

  • Who is the drum group in the background?

  • That group is known as:

    "Extreme Rhythm Drummers"

  • Alex has such a stunning smile.

  • All this crap about lipsynch is immaterial on youtube you cannot tell because the sound is regularly out of synch with the video on youtube even as much as 0.25 seconds. Why would singers and players of this calibre need to do this anyway.

  • Lisa looks stunning on 3:40

  • Agreed!

  • Love!

  • ohmygosh the drums in this song give me goosebumps! sooo pretty!! 5 *'s!

  • Lisa is awesome!!!!!

  • god, i got chills when Lisa began to sing!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Lisa's th best :)

  • What's most moving for me throughout this whole video is the wind. It moves through the girls hair and makes their dresses wave, and just watching it makes me just so jealous of those who got to see it live. I just got back from Dublin, and I was hoping to make it to Powerscourt and walk around; the weather wasn't cooperating though, so it made it hard to get there. And when Lynn comes on, she's just so gorgeous looking and stunning. Can't wait to own this show!

  • This is a lovely way to start the show. It was a blessing to have been there both nights. I'll be curious as to how the touring version of this start will come off. Tough to replace The Sky The Dawn And The Sun. Regardless, this will be a wonderful new show well worth seeing in person on tour. Yes, one of the choir members is Lisa's sister Helen.

  • one of the chorus members kinda looks like Miley Cyrus in this video.. she's Lisa Kelly's sister, right?

  • Yes Helen Kelly is a member of the choir, she's been with us since the Slane Castle (A New Journey) performance.

  • are you kidding? she looks NOTHING like her :P

  • ??? who looks nothing like who???

  • Someone said Helen Kelly looks like Miley Cyrus.

  • Yeah ok...with the exception that Helen Kelly is taller, older and much better looking than Miley Cyrus.....

  • Oh and I forgot Helen is much more talented than Miley too....

  • AHA! I agree =^.^= with both things

  • which one is she?

  • Alex is the 2nd one to sing with the short "curly" brunette hair...

  • @MidnightMoondapple

The woman at 4:11 walking up behind Mairead

  • I looove the intro

  • then if you dont care, seriously stop talking. you're all talk and its pretty annoying for everyone else.

  • Freedom of speech, dear. I can say whatever I believe, even if it is annoying. Your posts annoy me, should I tell you to stop talking?

  • If you have the "proof" on tape, then why havent you produced it yet?

I think the only person freaking out here is you. The rest of us know that CW doesn't lipsing their performances; so produce the proof. We'd love to see it.

  • Because I don't have any way of putting tape on my computer. Doi.

    I don't care anymore. I really don't.

  • It's a well known fact that usually people who say "I'm not over-reacting, you are!" usually are the guilty party. I don't think CW would appreciate you being rude and hysterical in their name, that's not what their music is supposed to inspire.

  • People I knew where there and front row and they actually heard their voices. So there. No lipsyncing.
