Maybe you don't know it: They wrote this song, and it's written as a rock ballad, not as a mainstream power pop ballad. Leona is a super talented singer with a very beautiful strong voice, but this song doesn't suit her at all.

Her voice is perfect for typical power ballads in style of whitney houston or mariah carey, but not for songs like this.

Ok lemme get it clear.Leona never wanted to cover this song.The public 'compelled' her to do so. She was on a radio station and she was asked to sing her own song and a song by another artist in acoustic.she chose run.everybody loved it so much that in some minutes people have been requesting this song.her manager got her to release this as a single and promote it on x-factor.she did a simple video and released it digitally only.After 2 years(2010)this song peaked at 1 in germany and swiss chart

No. She has a great voice but this song doesn't suit her at all! When she sings typical power-ballads her voice is perfect. But she shouldn't cover rock-songs. It sounds so overdone and her voice is too powerful for this ballad.

The original of Snow Patrol is real music with real emotion.
