Don't forget to mention that reaching the elevator restores your health, also you didn't show what the things do that try to crush you, I remember it turning you into something hilarious.

Lastly, the floating king (Outside of that deadly bonus room) steals your gold on impact so I presume it keeps showing only when you have collected gold.

Thank you for posting this, me an my college roommate, who had been playing NES since it came out, spent about 2 hrs trying to get past the first 3 screen-lengths of action. This game is absolute crap, more animation = more lag between jumps, the pace of the enemies is pathetically slow but you still just cannot duck or throw a knife in time unless you memorize every hazard

I loved this game because it was so difficult. What bugged me was the level with the king, I never knew it was a bonus round so I thought this was the final level... I spent a lot of time shooting the king to kill it but it never died so I never managed to complete the game :(

No, because you can't skip ahead to later levels. The best case scenario is you move ahead to the NEXT level, and all the others are either levels you have already been to, or the bonus stage that takes away lives and is nearly impossible.

His is the best review of the game out there but until you've played it even his review can't describe the level of torture required. I like his better than the AVGN. As frustrating as G&G's is for the nes it can't even compare to this. This is like it was programmed from Satan. It's so hard it can't be due to just bad coding. It has to be intentional.

The 1985 Commodore Amiga version is best. They directly digitized the video from the original game. Ahhh.... the power of a 32-bit multitasking 68000 machine.

GigaBoost, that's because we didn't get the PAL version in North America and the NTSC version ISN'T playable in any sense of the word.

I've played the PAL version. It's certainly better, but not nearly enough to overlook the plentiful flaws in the game. There are much better choices.
