Just because people aren't climate scientists doesn't mean they shouldn't voice their opinions or questions about climate science. This notion that climate scientists have a consensus about climate change & you shouldn't disagree because of it, is pure nonsense. Many climate scientists disagree. Also, you don't have to be a scientist to understand the faults of the hockey stick graph. Businessmen see hockey stick graphs in other areas & are always suspicious of them.

Coffman is not a climate scientist. He has a BS in Forestry and MS in Biology, and a Ph.D. in Forest Science. He is a retired paper industry executive, property rights advocate, and proponent of the conspiracy theory that international co-operation represents moves to impose a New World Order on citizens of the world via a system of global governance. NASA Study Finds World Warmth Edging Ancient Levels

A new study by NASA scientists finds that the world's temperature is reaching a level that has not been seen in thousands of years.

The study, led by James Hansen of NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies, N.Y., along with scientists from other organizations concludes that, because of a rapid warming trend over the past 30 years, the Earth is now reaching and passing through the warmest levels in the current interglacial period, which has lasted nearly 12,000 years. An "interglacial period" is a time in the Earth's history when the area of Earth covered by glaciers was similar or smaller than at the present time.

The study used temperatures around the world taken during the last century. Scientists concluded that these data showed the Earth has been warming at the remarkably rapid rate of approximately 0.36° Fahrenheit (0.2° Celsius) per decade for the past 30 years. This evidence implies that we are getting close to dangerous levels of human-made pollution. In recent decades, human-made greenhouse gases have become the largest climate change factor.

John Coleman? He is a weatherman, not a climate scientist. He admits, his expertise is in weather — not climate change science. In his own words, he has been a TV weatherman since he was a freshman in college in 1953.

Heidi Cullen, the Weather Channels climate change expert, wrote last year that the American Meteorological Society should not give its seal of approval to any meteorologist who cant speak to the fundamental science of climate change.
