It occurs to me that these large Universities are obsolete, ineficient, and not cost effective; especialy given the "Clones" these Mills spit out . Student Tuitions are financing a work/welfare program for Staff and Faculty. What original, creative, earth shattering inovation is taking place here? I know about CubeSat- so you launch a shoe box into orbit. All you kids need is a Laptop and WIFI network at Macdonalds. You can't develop or manufacture anything anyway.

We are both right. It's a mixture of "Richrdsonian Romanesque" (italian-roman revival) and "Mission Revival", which is a revival of spanish-colonization style. The buildings linked with arches is definitely italo-romanian. The red tiles roof is described in Wikipedia by being Mission Revival. It's confusing because in Italy you also have lots of red tiles, but also in Spain. At any rates, Let's say... Maybe the Granados Danzas Espanolas (guitar version) would be better fit to this video.

Omg i went there for a tour the church was nice... but the person who was playing the organ was playing dracula type of music.... And my tour guide said the band "IS CRAZY"!!!! although I prefer the colonial/gothic like architecture of the ivys

The costs wouldn't be a problem for my parents, just the chance of getting accepted are really low for me I guess. I'm trying to "boost" my CV by attending Summer School at LSE for example, let's see if this will help me.

Nowadays getting into Stanford, Harvard, Yale, etc., is a different beast, because now, everyone focuses on the A's, and the grades, bt now, you must be good at extra-curricular activities, that's what will get you into Stanford and others, on top of other requirements [grades, etc.]

stanfords acceptance rate is 1.5%. i applied there and got accepted. also, its around 30 grand a semester. goodluck if you apply!!

1.5%? Hahaha. No. Stanford's acceptance rate is around 9.5%. The lowest university acceptance rate I believe is Harvard's at 7%.

Also, tuition is 30 grand (a year, not a semester), but including room and board and miscellaneous expenses, it goes up to around 50 grand. But Stanford offers some of the best financial aid in the country, so the price any future students would actually pay would be far, far less.

Somehow I doubt you got in.

If you enroll as a student you have to pay the normal tuition (about $ 36000 per year) I guess.

I did not have courses, but only worked in the lab, so I had to pay the reduced tuition of $ 2650 (for a quarter).
