Touring takes a long time and bands also need to take off now and again. 4 years is just fine by me as I don't listen to just one or two bands, almost every year something new I listen to is put out. I'd rather have the band take their time than pumping out stuff that isn't nearly as good as it can be. Bands change their sound more over the course of 4 years than they would in 2, I prefer that.
