@whitelark87 Well you know that could have been intentionally done by the author, she's speaking about losing her concentration at that point; when you lose your concentration it's easy to make little mistakes, ye dig?
@RoneciDesade Haha, yeah. I was mostly meaning to impart that the word "CONCENTRATION" was messing with my ability to practice it too, which I thought was neat. I appreciate how you defend the artist, even though I understood their initial intention. I'm sure they would applaud that, too. :D
These videos give alot of emotion to people, causing people to think more critically yet not always correctly.
I have a friend in my secondary school - in my tutor group, he is partially sighted, he also has asburjers syndrome (dunno how to speel it) he is intelligent just not so social. He is not as badly sighted after an operation but still severly impaired.
Im not partially sighted but I can very much understand what its like now - this is a very detailed and well-illustrated insight to the partially sighted. well done.
i admire this woman and anyone like her...she seems to have a strong charachter and is determind to stand up on her own,to be independent no matter what. it should be difficult though
are you saying that if you see number 1 and the color is black. people who have synaesthete can see the number one have different colors?
or if you see a shape like the ballon used in comics, like if its a suprised ballon where its all pointy, you can sense that its scatchy or it feels hurt. but if its the callout ballon, where its cloud shape then you feel relax or comfortable???
I think people don't just stand and look around 'coz it's kinda weird, If i saw someone just standing in the street just looking at people around him I mean not looking for anything just standing there, looking, I would find that weird
It's unfortunate that so many here don't appear to get it - ultimately their own loss and yet sad for us as well because there is much richness in life that they will miss out on. Anyway, beautiful film and very well conceived in design and meaning. How fantastic to have a glimpse in to the levels of reality that blind people live in.

I'm what's called a 'synaesthete', I have 'synaesthesia'. It's where two or more senses are intertwined. My synaesthesia is that I see the shape/image of sounds (esp music)and the colour of numbers. Wiki 'synaesthesia' if you are interested. :)
i guess there are many types of synaesthesia. my friend has the sort where he sees music in color. it's sort of cool - i can taste certain colors so i have a funny eating habit.
Hello fellow synaesthete! You are lucky, I know of no one IRL that has it, only forum people. I thought EVERYONE could see the colour of numbers and the shape of music until I was about 15.
I saw this at Filmonik some time ago, it looked brilliant on a big screen in a dark room. It's still a great film even on here, but I recommend catching it in a dedicated space somewhere if you can.
idk what to think... its kinda borin but is awesome O.o

At 3:45 "CONCENTRATION" is misspelled. Now that's all I can focus on. I hate when this happens. Great film, too.

Intelligent and not-so-social is very common indeed among those with Asperger's sydnrome.

I think the visual style and the words match perfectly. In my opinion the technology used to make it really makes sense with the subject.

Another beautiful film that unfortunately seems to be more about the technology used to make it than it is about the supposed subject.

what does it mean that words are 3D sounds for you?
