  • no se trata de dinero. sino lo que puede hacer el hombre.pura vida

  • woooow,,

  • it's a piece of technology and achievement.. and ofcourse rolex and zenith suck cause you can can only wear fake on your wrist!

  • ROLEX SUCKS ;-)

  • Incredible watch. If I had the money...I'd buy it.

  • There may be some people that buy this watch for vain reasons. However, to a true watch connoisseur, it holds more value than just being a timepiece. It's a work of art and a mechanical engineering feat; and it sits on your wrist! The latter type of people really don't care about your opinion, the watch is for THEIR enjoyment.

  • Going in my Favorites now.

  • Nothing on earth like this watch

  • If I could own one watch, this would be it.

  • the next obvious step is to forget about telling time and just have an elaborate gewgaw that gyrates on your wrist for no apparent reason

  • I hope to become one of these filty lazy stinking rich people... one day.

  • too much spinning too much movement already~~~~~~~ haiz...... cant event see the watch nicely...

  • I think Zenith Defy is usually a little, well a lot "over-the-top", but this is a pretty cool gyro tourbillon.

  • how much for this watch ????????

  • @sarmad6648

    350.000 Euro. What a steal!

  • @Corbon440 huh 350.000 for what ? better i keep ma swatch

  • Amazing video! A true journey through space and time. Zenith has been a 'Manufacture' from day one and many people probably don't even know that Rolex used Zenith El Primero movements up until approx. 10 years ago.

  • Hey pooor guys.. when the sientifics are building little heart like this one you think it's a shit.. OK, the people that buy these " merveilles " are to kill.. maybe, but their money gives the science to put over the limits in robotics sciences, medics, paramedics, and so much more that even a day if that can save a life, even yours.. will you still think all of this is a shit ?? poor guy that suck's for real tv stay whith your quartz that is a sixties reserch'technology' !!!

  • besides Nas´ album Illmatic this is the illest shit ever

  • i once had a TV made by this company

  • Accuracy and practicality is what it's all about. I once made a sundial from an old antenna and was happy'R'n a pig in shit!

  • I put a stick in the sand and know what time it is... and it costs nothing lol XD

  • My $12.95 casio keeps better time this this mechanical shit..

  • @Kg277 I really doubt this.

  • guys, get it! as long as you're not happy with yourself, all money of the world wont help!

  • pointless waste of money. time is time regardless of how complicated *pointless* and expensive the mechanism is. i still prefer the old school swiss made watch that still works 50+ years after.

  • @aserta It's now waste of money if it's tax deductible, you buy 4 of them for one of your companies valuable customers, but after purchasing those, that company decides to gives you one of them. Works like that in most countries.

  • Before you get completel tunnel vision...My used Jaguar cost me 9000. bucks. a 2000 model..titanium color, and black leather with lots of wood on the inside. People ask me about the car when I park it...I think it's because they still used lots of chrome around the windows, etc. It sets it off. A new jag is about 60,000. Nobody asks people about them. They have hardly any wood in them now. The whole gestalt is missing. Still nuts about design? Check out alpha cameras with 60meg digital backs.

  • CAD design has done some incredible things for watches. But if I were this talented with designing precision machines, I think I'd focus my efforts on something more meaningful than semi-functional jewelry, such as making fully functional prosthetic limbs. Or hell, why not a whole android?

  • @PapiSmerf Because those are not purely mechanical problems.

  • @Dragn7 Oh but they are, there are plenty of recipients of mechanical prosthetics who have full nervous functionality of the prosthetic. They claim that the new arm is almost as easy to control as the old, etc... But the mechanics of those arms are so clumsy and fragile that they still can't do much with them. Easy fix, but theres more money in making designer watches I suppose.. More people have arms to hang stuff on than are missing them.

  • @PapiSmerf The level of mechanical sophistication of prosthesis that people have is dependent on how much they want (or can afford) to spend on them. It's not like our mechanical technology is so lacking. The problem you're referring to is of price and interface (between man and machine). And for prostheses to be more advanced, we need biological, electrical, and material science solutions as well as mechanical. Designing a watch such as this doesn't require the mastery of so many disciplines.

  • i cant stop watching

  • 350 000€ !!!!!!

  • So when you hold this watch at eye level the gimbals holding the tourbillon movement rotate it away so that you can't see the works? That would include the second hand! Someone willing to spend this much will not want to discreetly glance down at it. They'll want to hold it up for everyone else to see.

I hate to say it because I love the brilliant design and engineering that goes into watchmaking but there's a genuine conflict of design and function with this watch.

  • god... this is soooo gooooood

  • Zenith...Resonance of fate.

  • sphereical gyro, amazing. The JLC gyro implements somewhat the same idea.

I think the Zenith is a bit tacky thought, the breguet JLC is better

  • this is not simply a watch, it is a work of art and a display of human ingenuity. yes,i spelled ingenuity right the first time.

  • Gemnation has a pretty good deal on the watch, 40% off :-P

  • You can make fun of me all you want but I actually bought one of these, now I'm as smart as Einstein and I can drive my motorcycle on walls just like Ultraviolet. It is inexplicable but true.

  • @illustriouschin ...i am very envious of you. i collect mechanical watches and have a true passion that fills most of my thoughts. I own a tourbillon my self but had to go to Stuhrling watch to get it. it is a very well made chinese imperial one minute flying breget style tourbillon...rose gold gives it a special look.Owning a true gyroscopic tourbillon bust be fantastic...i would love to talk more. im in san francisco

  • you will find that most people who are into watches arnt all that rich more they share a passion for the mechanics that goes into the building of such works of art, i may never own a watch with a tourbillon escapement but the sheer design makes me interested in them. Most of the watches i own are pre WW1 and can be had from 60-400uds and give me the same satisfaction.

  • @Syler1979 Well said sir; I am relieved that finally someone is speaking out against these yuppies who think they can blagg their way with watches.

To the rest of you; ask yourselves this question. I you had $200,000+ to spend on a watch, why would you waste your time commenting on youtube?

  • didnt know this kind of tourbillon exists. :0 but tbh id rather have breguet classic tourbillon than zenith which looks plastic.

  • Nothing says class like "Xtreme"

  • I wish I could make love to this watch.

  • man...it's making my skin go wilddd...chiken skin!!...what song is this?...

  • This amazing watch proves that Zenith has too much time on it's hands.

How's that for an awesome slogan?

  • christ this is cheesy

  • Amazing ROLLS-ROYCE Watches with 2 Gyrotourbillons

    youtube.com/watch?v=TD-iaMpqOZY

  • I happen to be in possession of an expensive gyrotourbillon watch but the initial exitement niet justify the PRICE!

  • not the best looking, but i would love to have one of those, just to try to set the gyroscope off balance!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • oooooooooooooooooooooooooh wowwwwwww

  • who did the music for this? anyone know what it's called?

  • @originalrecoil The song is called "connected again" it was made for the brand but was later used for commercials. I can send it to you.

  • @sibanak8888 I'm interested, would sound great with a video project I'm working on.

  • you have to admire the engineering, bit too big for my scrawny wrists though, not that i could afford it anyway ^_^

  • fun.. god for an egocentric who have €333.000 to spend on a watch lol

  • This video is beyond elaborate! The incredible detail and style is amazing! Probably cost more to make this than many cinema movies!

  • lets get my g shock and this zero g and lets drop them from mmy second floor lets see what watch is worth the buy

  • @decoymiata maybe a wyler can beat your watch on that.........

  • damn, looks like a watch batman would wear,, haha

  • Tragic to see accuracy traded for complexity, but that's what people want.

  • Fugly and clunky compared to Jaeger Gyroturbillon 2 Reverso.

  • @cmpilot: this stupid gawdy Zenith doesn't even deserve to be in the same store as the the absolute masterpiece that is the Reverso Gyrotourbillon 2 and yet its double the price :-\

  • Definitely a masterpiece craftsmanship. beautiful... however... thick watches are not my fav. they're just 'too much'. Anything thicker than 1.3cm is too thick for me...

  • beautiful watch!!! i want a zenith, unfortunately this one is too expensive ( i found one for 327, 000.00!!)

  • @cschmiedlechner hahahah i bet you cant even afford a fuckin rolex hahahaa

  • Nice....my dad loves these watches, think I'll get him one once my degree has finished :) by the way, my friend loves the accompanying tune, can someone tell me the name please?x

  • Zenith hasn't made too much innovation "of late" but their movements, the engine of the watch, are so damn reliable. My elite manual winds and primero based chronos run within chronometer specs for the past 8 years without any service. I own a few other "mid range" watches from IWC, JLC, Omega, but zenith run much reliably. Those ETA and Valjoux movements are not very standardized, and accuracy go all over the place.

  • what's the point if you can't see the gears. it completely defeats the purpose if you put a metal bowl around the tourbillion.

  • True luxury is sobriety. This video, and the watches shown, are the opposite of sobriety.

Luxury is also elegance. Those watches are not elegant at all, they are huge, and they seem to say "hey, look at me, I cost a lot".

  • sex t7t el daraj

  • Waw!!!!

  • I think manufactures should start using a definition for their production as "SUPERWATCHES" not just Zenith watches. Like supercar Ferrary Enzo, or supercar McLaren. So simple man with average ~1400 $ salary per month (like in Latvia :)) would not even think about them, or read articles because he nows it is expensive. If you want to order watch with your own design it would cost for you 20000 $ using Swiss ETA mechanics.

  • for the people that keep posting about how great the accuracy of quartz watches, stop it, because we know it...

  • well said!

  • i just eant to die :(

  • No mechanical watch compares in accuracy within one order of magnitude of those quartz casios. Youre paying 200k$ for an instrument that performs worse than a 5$ instrument. Silly. It looks cool tho.

  • people buy this watches for other reasons

  • People pay for its status symbol, craftsmanship, panache, flair and tradition.

  • id rather buy a car, or maybe a house, hmm, or perhaps a house with a kick ass sterieo. and still have money for other things

  • People who buy those watches already have

3 houses, 5 expensive cars and a kick ass

stereo on every room, and they still have

    money for other thnks.

  • yeah i know, im jellous. i guess. not really actuelly, i have my wisdom. im happy mith my bike's and guitar and friends

  • I'm 16. I own a $2900 Tag Heuer Aquaracer. All my hard earned money. People who buy these watches work for it, just like you work for anything you buy.

  • nah. i dont work for my stuff. whats your profecion?

  • I mow lawns. =D

  • haha, awsum man. i need a job, sooo bad. i want a new bike and its around $5000 to $8000 for a good one

  • Judging by your spelling and grammar your profession most likely involves waiting around for Obama to send you a check.

  • judjing my your dixkishness im guessing you have a harsh stale life that you live by your self and have a shit jobh so you decided to watch this video becous your bord and lonelly and its some kinde of hope filed thing for you

  • exactly, the first watch I bought was a tissot for about 500$, I was 15 back then, Then, at 21, I bought a Hublot big bang second hand for alot of money...again, I had worked for it and even if my friends thought I was crazy, I knew what I was doing. It is only a question of choices, some will prefer to do a 4000$ trip somewhere, others buy a titanium bike others get expensive sport gear...I chose a watch. Expensive yes, but they resale easily on second hand market and still at a high price.

  • Have you seen the Hublot bigger bang?

  • I agree with you complitly !

  • Your watching the wrong video, then.

  • This watch costs 250 thousand euros and not 500 thousand. This is brilliant, I love. Saint-Honoré is a good brand too.

  • "Anyone know where I can find a high-res copy of this?"

    kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • the way u look at this watch would change a lot if you put casio instead of zenith it wouldnt be that great anymore becouse it would be cheap and everyone could have it

  • Its okay to not have good tastes, my man.

Keep buying your casios. Your so bad-ass.

  • u didnt understand what i said , i love this watches if i could i would buy 1 but u have to read and understand then reply coments ,,by the way nice pic !!

  • Sorry about that. Didn't understand your last comment.

    Thanks!

  • what about if u are shooping and go to a store where they sell watches and u c that watch and it says casio it wouldnt be that great rigth!! u probably wouldnt buy it i just say the watch is probably 5.000$ for example and the rest its the brand just like everything else

  • Costs $500,000 (half-a-million dollars).

    FOR A WRISTWATCH?!?

I could replace my leg with solid gold one for that amount.

  • watches can get a good deal more expensive than 500k. 6 figures is normal for any watch with an ordinary tourbillon in it.

  • Especially one that takes thousands of man hours to assemble. This is fantastic.

  • 250k is already quite high for a swiss "normal" tourbillon. 350 is repeater regions. Then you have unusual watches, they always cost more(Girard perregaux Jackpot, all the opuses etc etc).

1 million and plus is only for either heavily jeweled watches(LOADS of diamonds) or grande complications(repeater, chrono qp for example)

so basicly yes, 6 figures minimum for any decent tourbillon movement.

  • you can always get a sea gull

  • i said "Decent" :P

  • Anyone know where I can find a high-res copy of this?

  • "Physically ugly" - some watches, like this, are not intended to flow with fashion, or be the sort of watch you imagine when you hear "wristwatch". They exist as a showcase for new technology, such as this Zero-G tourbillon, or Jacob & Co's Quenttin and its unusual seven-barrel, 31-day power reserve. There are countless watches engineered by designers - I think there is room for a few designed by engineers. Not made to follow fashion, but simply to showcase the technology-as-art.

  • woooow absolutly mindblowing ... you have to wach this vid fullscreen!!!!!!!

  • yes this watch is ugly, but look at the jaeger lecoultres, could you call those ugly? hell some pateks don't look so great either but most of these makers do make great watches.

  • lies

  • This watch does not use a battery. It uses a mainspring as a power source. You fooled nobody.

  • LOL! I dig yer humour! But seriously, it's really a wonderful piece of mechanics, I'd like to have the movement and build some bad-ass wristwatch, maybe in steampunk style.

  • Everyone got worked up about the whole battery thing. Have you ever seen that episode of the Family Guy where Peter is pretending to play the piano and there was some guy making a big deal about Peter being a phony?

  • Only poor people would say that

  • i ama middle-class person, i am not talking about prices i'm talking about taste. these watches are phisically ugly and designed with no taste. there are alot of same price watches that are very well made and are beautiful and don't need to be complex or to show their mechanics.

  • You just said that you were rich and if your going to lie keep your story straight.. But going back to the point. You know what makes this watches so beautiful. Seeing each gears doing its job

Iam willing to bet that you never built any thing in your life

  • I'm middle class but I like this watch, only a self centered rich person who only cares about money and himself would say that about middle class people. You guys think you can just look down on all the other people because you have money, but the best thing on the planet is life because without life Earth would be just another rock in the solar system.

  • @DAKOTA56777 If i had the money to get this watch i would. not to feel superior to anybody, but all those gears and technology are really COOL! i'm planning on becoming a mechanical engineer, and i find this type of gear really amazing. If i was rich, i would buy an awesome car (don't care if it looks shiny red and aerodynamic, as long as its fast) and watches because i really really like them. BUT i also think its totally retarded to feel superior to others in any ways.

  • I think it's cool too, but I hate the guys comment talking about people saying their poor because they can't afford this watch, only the very rich can spend $500,000 on a watch. Just cause we can't afford it doesn't make us poor. I really hate how the rich treat everyone else as dirt.

  • @DAKOTA56777

After the game, the king and the pawn go back into the same box...

  • watching these machines, i get the idea of how amazing engineering is. A dedecation to mathematical precission in combination with design and arts.isnt this true creating?

Wether the artist nor the worker has his mind in those two realms, only the engineer has.

  • My god that is Astonishing. WOW!!!

  • AWESOME!!

  • We are entering another dimension...

  • Whatta a KOOL vid! Howd they make it?

    Nice mus 2.

  • Great watch! I like it!!!

  • Zenith -> one of the best brands out there :)

  • i really really really REALLY dont agree. but this watch is breaking some barriers.

so much so that i very much doubt that they made it inhouse. looks very BnB concept to me.

  • not anymore i think, they lost it with the defy series. really really hideous dials, coarse and ugly cases. Its a shame, they were once one of the few at top. now theire one of many in the middle.

Zenist for example, has nothing to bring to the table compared to Jaeger, Girard, Patek, Audemars, Gruebel(omg gruebel *drools*). they _had_ the el primero, back in the 70's, they _had_ very good looks, nice watches etc, but not anymore :S

  • well i'll give you the Defy Extreme series is indeed hideous ... But they still got some really decent watches . And comparing it to Jaeger and all those other brands you mentioned there is not really fair now is it ? But it's still a decent brand imho ;)
