The XF (and especially the XFR) is one of the best looking sedans on the market regardless of price and is the best looking Jag in years. The only current production sedan that i think is better looking is the Aston Martin Rapide, which costs several times more than the XF. However, the Rapide just looks like an extended DB9, while the XF looks uniquely its own.

Best part about the XF I thought was the superb gearbox, but the interior left me a bit cold (esp when compared to the XJ). I'll keep driving my old 68' Mk2 and 67' 420 thank you very much.

Plus, Automobile Magazine's long term test car blew a rear end differential and a power steering pump in the first 16,000 miles! Actually, Jaguar were great at building cars a long time before Ford. It's a thing called British Leyland which messed it all up. 1960's E-Type was a well made car which owned all the competition. Also I can say. I will take a 3.0d XF over a 535d or 3.0TDI A6.

The new Jaguar XF is a great car. Solid, luxurious and modernized. It has an electronic shift knob that looks fitted with the center console, the first I believe ever. Many car companies should look into that idea because the old fashioned knobs are out of place (sticks out). There are also many other electronics in the XF that are, to me, appealing. For example, the vents automatically open with a push of a button. There are blue florescent lighting in the car and a properly fitted navi screen.
