  • awesome, I love the rhythmic quality the Uke brings to this.

  • Jake.. talking about Bach... ukulele and Bach. My greatest loves all in one video.

  • this is like death to play.

  • hi: what's the arrangement in the end of this film ? the piano piece ? many thanks

  • Sweet as sugarcane - almost harp like!

  • i think the music designed for a lute matches well for the ukulele

  • This man is a genius.

  • this man truly is a genious, baroque music. i hope hell try some romantic pieces by liszt chopin etc.

  • Brilliant stuff. This is a neat project.

  • well... the ukulele does have a very baroque tone... it sounds like a violin's pizzicato

  • @TempoFurioso do not be put off by the limited range... even bach chaconne, one of the finest piece, an perhaps the best, is written in only one stave...

  • i dont play the guitar anymore because it only has 4 octaves. i understand what hes going through

  • @CheekyVimto08 I stopped playing the guitar as well for those reasons, basically upon finding and listening to the great organ works of Bach, it really made me question why the hell I was playing guitar at all haha

  • @thejugglenaut91 I know we are speaking of Bach but Beethoven said "The guitar truly is a minature orchestra." I mean I'm only beginning to play an instrument because it has taken me sixteen years to find one that I have fallen in love with so maybe I don't realize what you're going through. But I do know music is very special and I hope that you find an instrument that you can connect with.

  • i think this is bach's 4th invention it has invention in the name somewhere

  • i have the first part of this down on uke ;] im the only one i think =]

  • I wonder how Bach would sound on a banjo uke?

  • @elisar92

Interesting, to say the least xD

  • I don't know if this is borderline blasphemy but why doesn't he try restringing his ukulele to widen it's range.

  • @sarngiber - Baritone Uke is strung ebgd which naturally gives you a wider range.... however, re-entrant tuning allows a different style of playing with it's own benefits and physical limitations. It would be almost like switching from uke to guitar. Both have strings and look similar but you play them each a totally different way.

  • @_@ Smooth and quick!! God

  • Hi hey jake i ll play this on guitar, i only have a part of piano greetings from Guatemala in Central America *****5 wooow

  • What is the name of the song? He plays very well. Any tabs..?

  • Invention No.4 in D minor

  • Thanks

  • i have tabs.

  • You do ??? for uke ?

  • yes i do.

  • @musicalmichaeltran

Pls share with us the tab!

  • watching him perform this live was completely insane. just the complexity of the notes was able to make everyone in the crowd still and silent. he truly is the master of the ukulele

  • The tone reminds me of a harp.

  • Jake is simply a great artist. As far all-around ukulele players out there today, he's in a class by himself.

  • Cool. Ukulele really goes well with Bach. I want to hear that more.

  • chek out john kings arrangement of the BWV 1007 prelude.

  • Do a youtube search for Nalumusic and John King.

  • Thanks for the info. I searched for John King and found a right one.

  • @shibadoggie11 When this guy's playing, ukulele goes well with everything.

  • Jake I figured it would just be a matter of time before you came to this. Earl Ledden

  • what is the song called?

  • I watched the Bela Fleck one too, and I'm excited to see this film... thanks.

  • I'd have his babies. So in <3

  • Jake is the best!
