@tophatm your ignorance of politics is trumped only by your ignorance of history. The Civil Rights Bill of 1964, in addition to every Civil Rights bill since 1865 has been blocked by the DEMOCRATS. The block of Southern Democrats led by Bobby Byrd filibustered the legislation. Everett McKinley Dirksen , legendary REPUBLICAN senator from IL formed a coalition to break the filibuster allowing the Civil Rights Act to pass.

@dalmatian847 Yep. How the Democrats continue to get away with being "the civil rights party" is beyond me. Bush was crucified for illegal wiretaps, (and rightly so), but the Obama administration puts U.S. citizens on Murder Lists without trial or Due Process, and no one says a word except Ron Paul.

@WesSeid It's easy to figure out how they get away with it. Teacher's Unions beholden to the Democratic Party that avoids such "inconvenient truths in their lesson plans and thee sympathetic mainstream media who chooses to gloss over such things as Clinton's elegy of Robert Byrd.
Yeah Bush was crucifued for illegal wiretaps , but when an "Constitutional scholar" like Obama continues the same policies, the outrage vanishes from the same typesat MSNBC that decried it under Bush.
