Why is it 'impossible' to wait until one is married to have sex? I think the reason this generation (I am 26, but I hate to say 'my' generation) finds it difficult or seemingly impossible to practice abstinence is it takes discipline. That's something the generation who's "had it all" was rarely taught.

You are correct in that sex in and of itself is not a bad thing. However, there is a time and place for everything. Sex is more than just a physical act. In the sexual union, a part of each person is given to the other...both physically and spiritually. There is an actually chemical reaction in the brain which bonds the two. It is this bonding in an uncommitted relationship that causes problems.
