    tereshkina is beautiful!! :D

  • Do you mean the blue tutu is best or the dancer? Lol! All are beautiful! (And so are their tutus :P)

  • I love how their tutus are so flouncey! The blue one is obviously the best.

  • tereshkina is beautiful!

  • sapirichka - the ballerinas of the Mariinksy are VERY long these days (too long in my opinion). Although they may appear tall, they are just proportioned - they are probably not over 5'5'' en pointe. I've noticed that the quickness of petite allegro has suffered as a result of this "new" trend in ballerinas (we can thank Balanchine for this). Many of their legs are far too long, & as such the ability for quick entrechats & various batterie suffers.

  • no way. first of all I think that being a tall ballering is beauriful! and on stage in an adagio it's abseloutly gourges!!

beside that, those ballerinas are probably 5'8 not on pointe!juse like alina somova. she's so tall and beautiful!

  • i know the screen makes them look taller but there's no way they are shorter than 5"6 not en pointe

  • for example, many modern-day ballerinas who dance Myrtha in the Mariinsky's "Giselle" (which is very faithful to Petipa's last revisions at the turn of the 20th century) cannot pull off the quick series of entrechat six de voile required of Myrtha during the 'Grand pas des Wilis', and many of them change the choreography to include entrechat quatre instead.

  • don't they look very very tall??aspecially the sapphir fairy!! what do you think?

  • the video is a bit stretched. when i saw this, they had a normal size ^^. really, it's just youtube

  • what do you mean by normal size? they look 1.70 meter and more...are they?

  • i don't know what size they are ^^. i just know, that i watched it on new year and have it on video, and this video on youtube is a bit stretched (just a little little bit ^^). that's all ^^. but i could think, that they are quite tall, surely 1.70 and maybe more :-p

  • They are great ballerinas and not weak at all...

  • That was not weak.

  • You've gotta be kidding me...

  • That was just beautiful to watch, I know nothing of ballet but I admire the artistic skill and the years taken to get to this level.
