I don't mind Muslim people coming to Europe. I do however, feel that they have to adapt to and respect our cultures here. I don't want any legislation changed in favour of a religion or ethnic group. I don't mind Muslim people coming to Europe. I do however, feel that they have to adapt to and respect our cultures here. I don't want any legislation changed in favour of a religion or ethnic group. We are free to criticise religion here, and I want to be free to do so in my native land. There are so many things I cannot do in Pakistan when I went on business, I have to respect that. I want my culture respected. Not a force telling me I have to adapt in my country.

I live in NZ, over here the legal age to have sex is 16 and to drink is 18, however if I had moved to America when I was say, 17, you wouldn't have found me protesting that the law was different to what I was used to. If you want something, go somewhere you can get it, take my bfs aunt and uncle, they live in Iraq but are leaving because life is hard there, so they are moving to Jordan because they can still live the way they want without trying to inflict their beliefs on other people.

If justice is to be blind and the state impartial, religion must have no say in affairs of state precisely because it has a unilateral conception of truth and justice. Religions are absolute dogmas, if every citizen is to have equality before the law they must be subject to universal law. Shariah has no place in this country, state law must have cnchallenged supremacy. If Shariah 'courts' seek to arbitrate anything their decisions should be contingent on state law first.

Are not concepts like "Naturrecht" and "equality of men" more a religion themselves (even taken originally from religion)? Even some "secular" lawyers seem to think that a big Magna Carta and law book were discovered in a physics laboratory! Even if it is just civil matters, people here are uncomfortable with the degrading woman aspect of it..being aware of honour beatings/killings already carried out. This may further appear to legitimise those actions.
There are many professional Muslims of course. But it's also a substantial trend for many coming from Pakistan just to settle and claim benefits. I've personally heard their kids complaining of it.
