So, I found this video on tumblr and I was traumatized. It wasn't until the end they say it is a re-enactment, but it is seriously disturbing. I later read that the dirt poured on the children is "chocolate cake" and they use trick photography. I am relieved I find out I didn't actually witness 2 children dying, however.. this video needs to be re-edited or something because it was absolutely horrifying for me to think at first I was seeing children die.

So, I found this video on tumblr and I was traumatized. It wasn't until the end they say it is a re-enactment, but it is seriously disturbing. I later read that the dirt poured on the children is "chocolate cake" and they use trick photography. I am relieved I find out I didn't actually witness 2 children dying, however.. this video needs to be re-edited or something because it was absolutely horrifying for me to think at first I was seeing children die.

I lived in Brazil for five years. This is a common practice in some tribes, not all of them. This video may be fake, but the tribes themselves recognize that the killing is needed in order to help the rest of the community to survive. Not enough food, worry about bad spirits, etc. It is a real problem in Brazil. The missionaries are only making you aware of what is happening.

I certainly don't think it's okay or right to bury an ailing child alive at all. However, if this stuff truly does happen, the best way to put a stop to it is through education and better access to modern medicine. It shouldn't be used as a carte blanche excuse to forcibly take ANY child from their family at ANY time.

It's amazing to me that a lot of people would see nothing wrong with changing the animal curlety in China but then turn around on this and say the native people should be left alone to practise their culture. some one wants the government to take the kids and make a home for them. this home would be funded by the government and for each kid they take from the tribe they would receive thousands of dollars a year to "provide" for them. In a way the see fit of course. This is a scam that has been going on in every country for years. The Kids will barely get fed every day then the will be forced to work in the "home".

If this is real, then leave these people alone. Is it horrible? yes, Americans do not govern what right or good is! sorry to burst that bubble. Life sucks and it's cruel. It is really very funny ! Missionaries haven´t mentioned that in the great world-wide cities, thousand are killed and burried. It makes no difference if a person in burried alive or dead. It should be much better for all tribes missionaires keeping clear from them.

@kuhlgi There is no way to verify the missionaries' claims, and before we added the titles to this copy there was nothing on the film to make it clear that it wasn't a documentary. That's why we're describing the footage as "faked". Many people commenting on the film on YouTube clearly thought they were watching "real" footage.

If there is no right or wrong then someone should beable to kill your children because they have decided that you have no right to take up so much space on your city block any longer. This is what these people have done/To me if it is not motivated out of love then it is wrong period. Am I suggesting I am at all times motivated out of love. No I can be like all people motivated by fear or anger etc. But if I killed all my children over it surely in modern society this would and should be crime
