i have no problem with negro people being prominant in the entertainment industry...good for them....making the rest of the world happy with their talents
of course now we have obama as president which will open the doors for more negro people to enter more serious proffesions as well :)
i am half negro LOL sooo don't call me racist for saying negro peeps :)
@MnmAndHersheysAreYum Try searching "I got Rhythm sheet music" on ebay, provided your willing to buy and know your way around ebay. Failing that I'd still recommend you buy it in print or via digital copy as alot of the online music databases seem to be a litttle inaccurate. But make sure its a source you trust
i cannot imagine how hard it was for black musicians during the 30s, 40s, and other time periods where racism was so blatantly out in the open. The lact of respect from the audience in the beginning of this is appaling. But like most artists back then, they won everyone over with their grace, beauty, and talent!
@bleudogman HE really did write "NEGRO PEOPLE", because that is part of HIS IDENTITY.....Obama is NOT a Negro, he is East african, so confer with him all you want to, but it would be POINTLESS
@lacyt36 The name "African American" is just as much of a slave name than "johnson" or "wilson".....however we were TAUGHT to hate anything that refers to who we are such as NEGRO (spain=black), N-G-R (egyptian=GOD), Niggas= NEGUS (ethiopian=EMPEROR), NAGA(india=WISE serpent gods), NUGERMARTA (west african people)
the list goes on, but here in America "nigger" means "one who is ignorant"....but ALL AROUND THE ANCIENT WORLD, NIGGAS ARE THEY WHO ARE WISE!!
its a shame that nego people in america seem to only be well known in the entertainment of america such as music, dancing, and acting
ALWAYS THE PERFORMER....HARDLY EVER PROMOTED TO ANYTHING TAKEN MORE SERIOUS....dont get me wrong, we negros are great performers, but there comes a time when we must wake up and see the mental slavery we are in
NEGROS ARE THE GYPSIES OF AMERICA (for those of you who dont know who that is, read about rajasthan gypsies and roma gypsies)
@ZaydelZemirah That's not true, and you need to get your facts right, while there are a high number of black people in the entertainment field, Black people are also present in many other professions too, and by the way Entertainment in itself is a form of business. You think its easy, then write your own song and lets see how popular it is around the world
@kandigee22 maybe my choice of words is what pisses everybody off, but I hold on to what it is I said, when I say entertainment, PROFESSIONAL entertainment isnt always the case, I wasnt just talking about writings songs....I was talking about how black people are potrayed in american society, expand your mind on what I'm talking about when I say "black people are always the performer"
@ZaydelZemirah Because historically, that is all they were allowed to be. They have not been taken seriously by whiles until recently, and still, some only think of them as entertain, ent. However, blacks have contributed is more wayt than entertainment by inventing many important items we use; A stop light was a black invention, hair products for black women, and Louis Latimer helped Edison create the light bulb. Many black did not receive full credit for these things, bc some whites back then..
@Missticklotus (con't)didn't think blacks were capable of being intelligent and so on. It's not as simple as inventing/creating something outside of music and being recognized for blacks in this country. More like they can only be taken seriously when creating music, dance, ect. The racial history of this country is complex and still functions in complicated ways. Now, times have changes, and sadly there a re many black performer (mainly mainstream rappers) who are stereotypes...
@Missticklotus EXACTLY!! Thank you for understanding what I'm talking about, for some odd reason everybody else is getting offended by what I said....BUT ITS TRUE
WE ARENT BEING TAKEN SERIOUSLY....& another news flash, ever since we've been in America, they've been treating us like a crying baby, when ever we dont like somthing, we cry to the gov't & the powers that be & they give us alittle more privledge, THERE COMES A TIME WHEN WE HAVE TO GROW UP FAMILY!!!
@ZaydelZemirah And you the term Negro is rather dated; If you're a black person, (which I doubt) I find it off you say that term. "We Negroes"? seriously? o.0
@Missticklotus lolz....WAKE UP!! you find it off that I use the term "Negroes"....WELL I on the other hand find it MORE ODD that WE (Blacks, Negros, African-Americans, WAT EVER THE HELL) Have a goddam expiration date on our identity....but you dont care
Negros & Latinos are the only two people that I know of who for some odd reason, CHANGE THE NAME OF THEIR IDENTITY every so manny years. HOW THE HELL CAN A NAME BE "rather dated"?? lolz SERIOUSLY?
