Sounds like Hinduism is wishy washy. If I was God, I would not want the world I made to worship other Gods. Why would any God not care who his creation worships? Hindu seems peaceful and loves all but their religion doesn't make sense to me. At least they are a peaceful religion and so that at least makes me happy. You take Muslims, Jews and Christians, their religion is close in relation but has some twist and turns that sets them apart from each other. I think most of us can look around us and see a creator but the trick is finding out who he is. So I say we should be looking and searching until we find him and know without a shadow of a doubt who he is.
All religions have evolved. Judaism evolved from Egyptian, Levantine, Mesopotamian, and Persian religions. Christianity evolved from Judaism. I doubt Hinduism today is the same as it was 3500 years ago.

What we believe is that, you can believe in what you want, but at the end your actions will determine in the after life. As for Shintoism, I don't know much about it, but yes, we accept them too. The world is diverse, no one person has the answer. In many Hindu temples, Chinese gods are put along side them, for Chinese/Hindu worshipers.

@silantra7 You don't find word "Hindu" or "India" in any hindu scriptures because these terms are given by British rulers of India, some 250yrs ago. Before that indigenous people called this land as bharat, bharatvarsh. All the famous scriptures of Hindus were written many years, some 5000yrs. Then the religion/faith/practice was called "Sanatan Dharma". Because of the advent of English in India and around the globe people of India adopted these names given by Britishers.

Hindu seems peaceful and loves all but their religion doesn't make sense to me. At least they are a peaceful religion and so that at least makes me happy. @Kyjo34 Hinduism talks about Realms above our World where the Gods live so it's more in Parallel to Sumerian Mythology of Gods resembling Aliens or Extra terrestrial beings. While I don't really agree with everything it teaches, It seems interesting to me.
I was a Hindu but now an Atheist btw but it's still fun to read about Hinduism once in a while, I enjoy reading and getting to know Hindu Myths since they can be really fun and interesting, They resemble Chinese and Japanese Myths slightly.

You take Muslims, Jews and Christians, their religion is close in relation but has some twist and turns that sets them apart from each other. I think most of us can look around us and see a creator but the trick is finding out who he is. So I say we should be looking and searching until we find him and know without a shadow of a doubt who he is.

All religions have evolved. Judaism evolved from Egyptian, Levantine, Mesopotamian, and Persian religions. Christianity evolved from Judaism. I doubt Hinduism today is the same as it was 3500 years ago.

@kyonsuzumiyakim of course, Hinduism has respect for all religions. Even Christianity and Islam. Many hindus pray to Jesus along side with the Hindu gods. What we believe is that, you can believe in what you want, but at the end your actions will determine in the after life. As for Shintoism, I don't know much about it, but yes, we accept them too. The world is diverse, no one person has the answer. In many Hindu temples, Chinese gods are put along side them, for Chinese/Hindu worshipers.

But this does not cloud my judgement to say that i cannot accept or believe in the religion itself. I would prefer the truth even than to believe falsehood no matter how sugar coated and pleasant it may seem. I cannot for the life in me understand the worship of stone statues and dieties that can do nothing, not even move 1cm, or that there are gods half human and half animal.

@061419681225 all i know is cows are viewed as sacred in their religion, milk is a recurring religious symbol throughout hinduism and killing a cow, for any reason, is considered a horrible thing to do. but as far as i know, they dont worship cows. just bc something is a prominent symbol in a religion does not mean it's worshipped. christians dont worship sheep and angels. and really, if they did worship cows i'd imagine you'd see imagines of them bowing to them, like you do with their idols.

@kithu3212 chrisitians like to put other belief systems into neat little categories, most westerners also classify confusianism as a religion, and are unaware of the fact that someone can be both a buddhist and read confusius' works at the same time. they're used to the abrahamic relgions, where each regards itself as the only true religion, and all other religions are lies. you cant practice multiple abrahamic religions at the same time, you can only practice one at a time.

there have been recent discoverys of sunken citys off the coast of africa and asia that predate over 10's of thousands of years. thousands of years before modern religions even predicted mankinds existance. mankinds history and destiny is finaly layed out before us with the actual, hard answers of wich religion and civilization has the most factual backing. its time to stop fighting wars to see who is left, but start to dig and research to find the answers of who was right all along.

@silantra7 You don't find word "Hindu" or "India" in any hindu scriptures because these terms are given by British rulers of India, some 250yrs ago. Before that indigenous people called this land as bharat, bharatvarsh. All the famous scriptures of Hindus were written many years, some 5000yrs. Then the religion/faith/practice was called "Sanatan Dharma". Because of the advent of English in India and around the globe people of India adopted these names given by Britishers.

Lord krishna says that in Bhagavat Gita all Atheists are "Ignorant Morons". After I read that verse, I stopped following Hinduism. Seriously, All Religions are the same, When a Hindu God claims that Atheism is Ignorant, doesn't that imply that he expects only Hindu Gods and himself to be correct ? Just like Christ or Allah said I am the only way, follow me.
Someone reply me why else would Lord Krishna say that. That one thing is a shame to Hinduism.

I would urge all Hindus to bring their kids & show them the abusive & sick posts by dupers & unleash. It shows what goes on inside their "houses of worship" - i guess they learn hate & bigotry. I am so thankful that I am Hindu, proud to be a Hindu. I have never ever heard such abuse directed at other faiths in Hinduism.
