  • @1.05 u seem to play differently than most tabs. I actually prefer your way cause my hands are are just too short to play my current tabs. Do u have tabs for your version? i can't read classical notes properly.

  • @seowlung I was just trying to figure out John Williams' fingering. That's a inversion of the "original" chord. I'll try to post the chord on my blog. Please check the link under this video later.

  • this piece is not really that hard , just take some time , believe me

  • BRAVO ! ! !

    VIVA CUBA ESPAÑOLA ! ! !

  • Good!!

  • EXCELLENT

  • acoustic death metal

  • @cashallen hahaha

  • This is awesome!

I'm actually reading the novel right now :)

  • i personally liked the chords part because it really stuck out strong. Nicely strong. This is amazing!

  • @ClassicalJoeNo1 pff sarcasm haha you did an amazing job bro!

  • all I can say is WOW !!!!!!!!!!

  • wonderful technique and amazing fingering , a very good guitarist , but as musician youll have to work . your interpretation seemed to me fade . but congrats.

  • Tres bonne! Muy Bueno! very good.

  • For a second I tought i was listening to John Williams or Isac Albeniz.....SUPER EXELENT JOB!!

  • i have one question: in the begining of second part can we play P..M.. I instead of P..I..M that say the notes ? because it is too faster,no?

  • no sigues el tiempo, vas cada vez mas rapido, pero lo demas si me gusta :)

  • pretty good, but as far as i know the strums should be done with rasgeo

  • Nice one.

  • very good ,, but where is the second part ??

  • Mtallica101 You'll find different ways of playing this throughout the world.

It is a piano piece and this way is true to the original way it is written, In IMO not too nice on the piano, but I do not believe it is written appreggiated for the piano.

I personally like the chords to ring out more as well as per the way Segovia played it but this is much like John Williams' style.

  • where is tha second part???

i thought there was a slow part after the fast^^

but the rest is very nice

i think you might play it better than i

  • That was great! Are you going to upload the second part?

  • Lovely playing, and great technique! However, this is played very much like a classical study which it is not! get some beauty and romance in there! :)

The second and third parts are really worth learning!

I know other people have commented on the strums, i personally find that a rasquardo is the best way to get a ringing spanish sound. (Struming the strings by spreading your fingers.) Keep playing and keep posting!

  • Very awesome! Great rhythm all the way through.

  • nice. well played for the most part.

  • I thought i could pull it off until I watched you play it.... thanks asshole! good job tho, 5 stars

  • no 2 part?? :( otherwise great!

  • muy bien we

    alabestia te la aventaste

  • dude, you were rockin', why'd you quit so soon? play the whole thing!

    nice guitar tone, too!

  • i love it. u are super

  • great man!!.. chek my version out..

  • ...However, it could use more emotion.

  • This song is a beast to learn! You are so good!

  • Very good, keep up te good work.

  • Excellent!! A very difficult choice to get it right the Albeniz piece is very tricky!!

  • very nice... estupendo

  • Excellent!

  • muy bien

  • like your dinamics..

  • clean play i like it, give the whole next :D

  • not full composition........treble play on B

  • this is not a full composition

  • Love it learning it in school at my guitar class that and romance anonimo

  • I'm learning this right now and it doesn't seem very difficult at the moment. The only thing that consistently trips me up is hitting the bar chords with root at the low B earlier on in the song. It's hard for me to do that and not touch the B string :) Hopefully after a year or two I can play it was well and as smoothly as you do!

  • i liked it, a reaaaally clean play, thanks =)

  • Clean and good- well played Joe. I asked you on another post whether you played any Albeniz- I waded through and found this. Have a listen to mine- you will hear the rasguedo on the chord part which makes them sound huge and 'full'. Regards.

  • Hi this is absolutely wonderful, i was wondering about the fingering for the right hand, could you help me please!

  • The right hand fingering is quite straight forward. At the beginning, I use p-i-p-m( or p-m-p-i, same thing), or you can use p-i all the time(or p-m, same thing), It really doesn't matter much. At the triplet part, use p-i-m & p-i-a, or you can use p-i-m all the time.

  • @benjive hold your -m- finger on the first string and with finger -i- play the notes on the second string...

  • FENOMENALE!

  • fucking incredible

  • nice sharing thx

  • mannnn u r goood wonderful really

  • this song has a second part.... can u play that

  • I liked it up until you started playing the chords ... You really need those to ring out. But other than that, keep up the good work.

  • very good man

  • It does not matter where you are from as long as you can perform well. You are very good

  • alrite just wondering...peace

  • Sorry my bhad...owell i can play the whole song now anyways its okei...by the way whuts your nationality?

  • I'm a Chinese. Does that matter?

  • dude dat was tight...pero...i mean do u play the 5th string the whole time?

  • No, why only the 5th string?

But I did try different fingering.

  • amazing sounds like john williams or segovias

  • very nice...very nice...you have to work on that accord part

  • Very good job! Only a bit mechanic playing but real nice speed!

  • asi la tocaba yo! o al menos la primera parte (solo que en la parte del rasgueo lo hacía más violento) felicidades!

Congratulations! you have a really really good tecnique!

    cristtadivariuss

  • Thanks all.

I'll try to post the fingering on my blog later. I just start working on it.

  • Admittably you do need to bar E A and D (as responce to someone below). Part of the beauty of this song are the overtones that form from multiple bass strings sounding together.

Gorgeously clean fingering though =]. I would also say you work on dynamics, the melody needs to go up and down in volume to sound better.

(yes I play this too, picked up from notes, resquerdo the chords though, more fun)

  • well, u played it well!!! its continuous n almost prefect.. btw, do u have the score for this song, i wanna noe how u strumm the 3rd type.. yea, john williams style..

  • Awesome!

  • now...im impressed, its flawless

  • Wow, that was incredible. My friend can play that song too; he's pretty good. But you seem to do it so fluidly; well, he's about my age, 17, 18. I've always wanted to play 'Asturias'; I've got a classical guitar but I'm not all that good. This video makes me want to learn it, so I will!

  • Very good. I'm working on this for the first time and right at about 1:08 in your video is where I start falling apart in the song...it's hard to get all those notes sounding cleanly.

  • It's good to see that you don't bar E, A, and D in the beginning. I don't either, it's simpler, and the tone doesn't get changed. Good job

  • nice! but where is the second part?

Would you mind telling us what model your guitar is and what strings do you use?

  • Thanks.

    Guitar: Española CG-18

    Made in China

This is a cheap one, costs around $200 something, strings may be EJ45 or 46 intalled more than 2 years ago.

  • I haven't make up the 2nd part yet.

  • absolutley loved it, especially the last bit was amazing

  • Thanks.

I got the notes from John Williams's video. But my fingering is different. I posted all the "secrets" in some Chinese forums.

  • what could some of them be?

    fantastic playing by the way
