Or in your pursuit of empirical ontological western interpretations of the text, do you choose to negate the truth of God's word? And one more thing: I happen to be a literal creationist, I just despised the lack of intelectual honesty that most on my side of the debate display about the text. They usually seem to plunder the text of its meaning out of fear that God can't take care of himself.
Domoljub2, I am glad that you are a christian and i hope that nothing can ever turn you from the faith you have in Christ. I do hope that you understand that evolution is a huge part of many Christians turning on God because evolution teaches that man came from a slim and evolved into what we have today. This completly contradicts the Bible. Ask Richard Dawkins what he thinks about our perfect creator.
There are problems with Theistic Evolution, Domolijub2.
There are 6 days mentioned, however, the word 'Yom' in Hebrew only ever talks about 1 day in all other places in the Bible- sunrise to sunrise.
If that is so, It would mean either that the Creation account is either referring to 1 day per day or that the entire creation account is metaphorical.
You would also be suggesting that God created Death and Suffering before the fall.

Of course God created earth in 6 days - but do you know what 1 day means for us or for God. People who wrote Bible coudn't understand the creation, so God inspired them with a story they could understand. In this story is hidden that we must have one day off(seventh day).

I am a christian and i belive in evolution. What is wrong with you. Of course we have a Creator. He created evolution.
I don't know where you are from, but where I come, everybody belives that evolution isr real. It is not any conflict with Holy Bible. Church doesn't deny evolition. Evolution is only a part of creaton.

NO, because it clearly says in the Bible "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth". It also says he made it in 6 days. That part right there goes against the theory of evolution. The Bible does not support it at all.
Evolution denys the fact that God created man, because evolutionists say that man has evolved from monkey, or early man. They say that early man had a less developed brain, but personaly from what i read in the bible, there is nothing that makes me think adam and eve where monkeys or stupid monkeys. There are many more arguments i could put across if you dont agree with this one
