  • I Really Like The Video From Your to read more about the effective use of technology in the classroom.

  • Your Video Is Very Useful Sharing read more about the effective use of technology in the classroom.

  • Your Video Is Very Useful Sharing to read more about the effective use of technology in the classroom.

  • you should be also addressing policy makers, school leaders, curriculum designers, examination boards, not just the teachers.

  • @Heissenburger the education system is in crisis

  • I fully agree to the idea of this writer. Teachers must accept the fact that they need to adopt to the changing environment so that they can effectively achieve the needed skills that they want their students to have, Teaching should be understood not merely teaching as we used to do but we facilitate learning inside the classroom. Teachers are not the main source of information. They just facilitate learning by allowing the students to develop and discover new learnings on their own pacing.

  • In the US we have mandatory education, 'No Child Left Behind', and a curriculum designed to push students into college. College costs are rising dramatically as funding is being cut (ie, students borrow from their future income to go to school). I fully agree that education needs an overhaul. Civic and social competency by 8th grade, alternatives to college, and education as a right not duty. Technology should be used to democratize learning, making available globally.

  • Stop pushing technology. It was a progressive marketing ploy when Apples arrived in every classroom. If you want 21st Century HUMANS to be proficient learners, show them how to teach themselves-. Show them how to COMPREHEND text & voice. Encourage them to ask WHY and How and to dig in all the media sources until they can answer it. Electronic doo-dads help the manufacturer and the sales force, they DO NOT enhance thinking-doing and engagement with data and information enhance thinking.

  • the last sentence said, "we need to learn from them" So true, I feel technology should be used more in the classroom. Unfortunately due to budget cuts and politica games played within the public sector teachers are left with old tools of teaching. Most use their own money to buy technological tools. I agree with some other statements being said that technology isn't the only answer. It is the emotions of the enthusiastic teacher that does.

  • I am researching the use of the Internet for educators/parents, especially the benefits for preschool children. I agree with everything in this video. I have created a browser for children Kongoroo.com. I would like to see the Internet to be used more at schools. It is such a limitless tool. Every child can find something on the Internet which can enrich its life.

  • islam is POINTLESS

  • Technology alone is not the answer. Technology is only as smart as the ppl who use it. And what about those who have learning problems. What is needed is a balance in education learning. Smaller class sizes, and better support systems so teachers are allowed to teach instead of being glorified baby sitters and disciplanrians. Easy to say technology is the answer........

  • no captions?

  • I'm sorry, but just adding technology to teaching will not result in improved learning. The important piece is how teachers mentally engage students!

  • @jerridkruse Who said we need teachers?

  • @Quiksilver209 there is always a teacher. For some a book combined with their own self-reflection is the teacher, for others they need more guidance and encouragement from a human teacher. You do not learn without a teacher (just realize the teacher is sometimes a combination of information & self guidance). The problem is that books and computers as information delivery systems cannot be as flexible as a human being for many reasons - emotional, sensory, feedback, etc.

  • I loved the video. For sure, people learn more by doing things themselves rather than by being told about them. Secondly, learners are intelligent, fully functioning humans, not simply receptacles for passed-on-knowledge. Learning is not simply a one-dimensional intellectual activity, but involves the whole person. Thus the message taken away from any one lesson is quite different for different people.

  • Great video Jose. Excellent audio track and relevancy.

  • nice thanks for the reminder

  • So true and very nicely presented!

  • Well said, more technology in the classroom
