If you are hit with voltage like that for a few seconds, you will probably get back up. For 30 seconds? That is an ETERNITY to get electrocuted. If you *can* get up after that, your body will act as if it's run a marathon! You will be drained and exhausted because your muscles have been forced to contract and expand at a rapid, random rate for a VERY long time! 30 second shots are NOT something I would ever do.
Question. It's a bit concerning to me that they are able to get up and walk so quickly. What if you want to keep the person there until the cops get there? Do you keep shocking the person? :)
Also, what about if you miss? I know they are attached to some type of thread so can you keep shooting them until you hit your target or do you have to pick the threads up and reload them? Seems like a great tool though.
"The people on the video were hit for 8 seconds and in most cases around 3 second. When the TASER C2 is used normally, its a 30 second charge." .... Do you have push a button or anything to make it keep the taser going for 30 seconds?... or can you shoot it and run, and it will keep tasing them on it's on while you get away. Because if not... once you let go they can get up, can't they?...
@fourtywpm it would be considered unnecessary use of force to continue to shock the person ith device will administer for 30 sec so in 2 sec you set the device down and run and it will still be 28 more seconds until they are no longer being shocked by that time you should be long gone.
Taser instructs you to hit the attacker with the taser C2, which begins the 30 seconds of electronic pulses, and set down the taser and run. The taser will continue to incapacitate your attacker for the full 30 seconds.
Then you are supposed to mail a copy of the police report detailing the encounter, and your leaving of the taser at the scene, and the Taser company will ship you out a brand new taser device.
Man! 8 seconds seemed like a lifetime! And I am sitting comfortably in front of my computer! I can not imagine how someone will feel after the full 30 seconds!
I am the second lady being tazed in the video and the only thing I can compare it to is sticking a butter knife into a wall socket when I was younger. It's not something I would want do on a daily basis.

If you miss, you can load another cartridge in 2 seconds or use the TASER as a stun gun. The cartridges are not reusable.

I wonder if you would volunteer to be tasered immediately after running a 100 yard dash?
twtechnical 2 years ago
why do some people run and leave the tazer there ? ???? why not put it back in your holster and run ?

TASER instructs you to fire and run. They will replace the TASER.

Is that anything like grabbing a spark plug wire with the engine running?
