  • Can someone tell me what year the blonde MM112 50 came out. I see a lot of black 50 watts but not so many of the blondes. Was the blonde a special order? Thanks for your help.

  • @chipcindy1 They came around in 1981-1982. No special order, but equipped with EVM speakers and a little bit more expensive. There was more amps in this series as well.

  • Ever play Carvin Guitars? I had one built for me and absolutely love it. It's a TL-60 Tele style guitar with much more natural sutsain due to the neck-through- body construction. I don't have a video of it yet, but I'll let you know when I do.

  • Swweeet! What's the dirty channel like?

  • Hi

It's more or less unusable :(

  • There's a few tricks to getting a decent overdrive from these amps.

Try turning your bass to 0, treble to 10, gain to 10, lower the master volume to between 0-2. Use a humbucker guitar if possible.

It's an old trick that Johnny Winters uses for his Music Man amps.

  • Just bought a MusicMan 65 RP 112 and really like. Thanks for the tone tip. Whats the best setting to use for od/dist pedals. I use mainly humbuckers and a few tele style guitars with single coils.

    Thx

  • The od/dist pedal should work with your amp settings on clean (whatever you set your eq for cleans). Maybe try pushing in the Deep switch when you use single coils.

  • Excellent! I have a 74 MM 212-HD 130 thats amazing.
