I broke my fibula down at the bottom of the bone where it joins up with the tibia. In Tebow's case, while extremely painful, it didn't seem to snap any of the tendons that hold the 2 bones together, which are mostly located the top, and bottom of that bone.

That happened to me and I was off my feet for almost 4 months. Still gutsy as hell though.
