London and Paris are great but for different reasons : London is a kind of mix, it's nice but sometimes it's very "de mauvais goût" (in a very poor taste). In Paris, every district has something different : if you want something modern, you go to La Défensen something artistic, to Montmartre, something romantic, to the Seine riverside...
However, what I really like in London is the new building projects like The Shard !!
Building wise and the archetecture I honestly feel there is no difference. Look at the old buildings, bridges, monuments etc...they all have the same lovely style. Why even compare? We're both beautiful cities, and the differences we do have doesn't mean that one is better or worse!
I really prefer London to Paris. London is a mix of Cultures, mix of Architecture, mix of Style... London cam be romantic, ugly, modern, old, beautiful, awesome, gothic, elegant... I am a Londoner.
The bits of london that tourists see are OK, but the bits where we live are fucking horrible. There is a carpet of broken glass and chicken-bones covering the streets and everything else is covered in soot.
Customer service is, seemingly, illegal here, the police are more interested in harrassing people from ethnic minorities rather than actually enforcing the law and the food is fucking atrocious.

London is the far bigger city Paris's population figures are falsified. i have just Google mapped Paris there is now way a city half the size with roughly the same type medium height buildings and roughly the same density of streets can have 5 more million people than London. @sandrodream1 Yes the weather and the climate in Rome is more sun than Paris but the nature and vegetation suffer from the dryness in Rome, this is why the forest, hood and parcs are more beautiful and wide which Rome has.
Paris is a very good compromise, at the same time bigest city in Europe and far better weather than London.

At 5.352 km² its dimensions are comparable to the region of Liguria and more than three times the size of the greater metropolitan area of London. you're wrong, because ostia is not in rome city proper, ostia is in the province of rome. it's just a province so for compared take the metropolitan area of Paris.^^
