Hey there. A litle tip. I make miniature trees as well, and found that of you apply rough papertape intead of plasic putty you'll get a good bark as well.

awsome detail! i started making trees for a film im working on! i used masking tape too wrap the branches. later on im going too coat them with a layer of latex with black pigment. its a night shoot so detail isnt neaded.....keep up the awsome work

Yes the LOTR stuff is mine. It is really what I like to build. I'll be doing more later this spring. Hobbiton, Bree, and maybe Smaug's cave.
