The recent Conan movie wasn't a remake, guys. Conan is a literary figure that existed for decades before the Arnold film. This is supposed to be an origin story based on the characterization and world of the original books. It's as much of a "remake" as Batman Begins was a "remake" of Burton's Batman.

It's the same thing with the upcoming Total Recall film. Not a remake. It's a another adaptation.

This is in my top 5 action movies of all time. People don't realize how impossible it is to re-create this kind of movie today. They're extinct. In the same vein as Predator, it's the T-Rex of action flicks. Mark needs to be educated.

@schmoesknow I just saw Commando early today. It was an AWESOME MOVIE!!! Thanks so much for the recommendation. I really enjoyed it! Arnold is such a beast in this. He just picks up and slams a phone booth lol. It was a really fun movie to watch and had alot of funny quotable moments. I also loved hearing Arnold say "I'll be back...Bennett" lol. This brought me back to when i was growing up watching Arnold and Van Damme movies..they were just over the top fun thrill rides.

Good review, I enjoyed Commando too. I watched several Arnold movies as a kid, Antz was the only Stallone movie I watched as a kid, I wished I watched Rocky and Rambo and maybe a few more of his movies as a kid. I'll contiune trying to imitate Arnold.
