Dylan is right but so is drew. Drifting does take a lot of skill and is not easy but it is also not real racing. To go fast around a race track is to hook up the tires and go forward. Drifting is just showboating for all the teeny bopers who don't know what apex's wide lines brake points and race smoothness on the race track is all about. It is all just a passing trend. Just watch formula one to see how much they drift while on track. It is funny to see old folks get into drifting just to pose.

Drifting is lame and NASCAR is sooo great!!! Please...give me a break!!! Drifting was good until the Americans fucked it up with their V8s & V10s. It was a poor man's sport, now it's about who has more money to build a better car. Let's throw go-karts in NASCAR and turn that into a joke...like it's not already!

Thank you Jesse. I was just watching a drift "racing" show on HD and ended up shouting at my TV, "Oh my God! Drifting is SO STUPID!" I LIKED DRIFTING THE FIRST TIME WHEN IT WAS CALLED DIRT RACING. Sorry teenaged boys. It's a POSER sport and it needs to begin its long trek back to Japan. Bye bye drifting.

Dylan is right but so is drew. Drifting does take a lot of skill and is not easy but it is also not real racing. To go fast around a race track is to hook up the tires and go forward. Drifting is just showboating for all the teeny bopers who don't know what apex's wide lines brake points and race smoothness on the race track is all about. It is all just a passing trend. Just watch formula one to see how much they drift while on track. It is funny to see old folks get into drifting just to pose.

im into racing too, dont get me wrong formula one drivers know whats up, i know that, and i like touring cars too. rally is the ultimate form of racing in my opinion. drift is not intended to be racing, it is just to show off car control skills and to push the limits of car control.

@weirdnessbeardness I know this is an old comment but when did anyone say it was racing ever? Its called DRIFTING for a reason. Its completely different than racing. That's like comparing Football and Baseball because human beings both play them. Just because cars are used doesn't mean they have to race. Its controlled sliding. And I'm 19, I love drifting and I know all about racing lines, brake points etc. So stop assuming so much and if you don't like it still, don't watch it plain and simple.

@RamSST I never discounted your opinion either, look at what I typed above. And my point with drifting in the snow was anything can slide where almost no friction occurs. I am very open minded with a wide range of things. And Yes I would tell those yuppie promoters that they are wrong in calling drifting racing, is demolition derby called racing? No its a derby. And the Drifts are the Drifts, not racing. If it was racing then any smart competitor would drive a racing line and win every round.

@RamSST Yes, but drifting isn't speed only. That's just one aspect. Speed, angle, proximity to lead/chase vehicle, fluidity etc etc. Not trying to argue, but you should have known this seeing as you were bashing it so much. You don't have to like anything you don't want to, but it's really cool to watch in person, hell 4 or 5 years ago I used to shit on it too, then I let my friend talk me into going to an event and I've liked it ever since.

I enjoyed your snow video. Did you know there's a city in Canada (White Rock) that NORMALLY enjoys milder Januarys than Memphis? In fact, it's MUCH milder than Memphis after accounting for wind chill. There's a considerably more sizable difference yet between Nashville and White Rock (i.e. White Rock is MUCH, MUCH, milder than Nashville)!Surpised?
