@fullhimekuroneko somehow I picture him being an archer - a bass player is just as important as the vocals/drums/guitar, however it is there to carry an underlying strength of the song, they do not breakout with melodies or solos. Archers are not the forefront warriors, nor do they have showy special abilities. They take out enemies with their arrows from afar - not face to face, yet they are incredibly important and have a huge impact on the battle.

You're right =^-^= Yasmine You was important for Versailles, als Hizaki, Kamijo, Yuki and Teru. Because a Song without bass isn't often as good as with, and the Songs of Versailles wouldn't touch your heart without bass as they do with, I think. And I think Yasmine You has worked on the songs too, so they wouldn't be the same, if Yasmine You hadn't been there. In a Band, everyone is important, even he or she don't break out.

I also thought it would have been Kamijo - but they actually asked Kazami (from their fellow visual kei band, Daizy Stripper) to record their piano parts. If you check Kazami's blog - one of his last memories of Jasmine You was him thanking him after helping with recording with Versailles.
