@trigui11o To say that Hubbard was a scientist is a freaking joke. The man went to college for engineering, which to me doesnt really seem to pertain much to self-help. After flunking out started writing science fiction. The same type of stories with adventure and suspense that give people a sort of peaced of mind when they read. Hubbard took advantage of those people who were emotionally distressed by manipulating them.

Tell all your friend to do this. The church of scientology will have a huge mail bill and each letter opened will free one of their members. Once you red Xenu leaflet they kick you out automatically. Tell as many people as you can. Power of the many. A million people send bricks back that should do something.

Church is free? Are you meaning the Christian church? The only reason it is free is because they are loaded already, and the reason for this is that the Christian church has a history of forcing people to give to them, and simply taking what they wanted. Today, they can afford to operate for "free" thanks to the crimes of the historical church.

As far as taking your money goes churches are not free. Nor is Education. So its only logical that money is the currency of excahnge for a better life. Churches are not free because they all have; up keeps. They are free to visit... Alas like any buliding, they need money. which they get from local councils, donations. In the future churches might go the same way as castles. in england most castles (good ones) you pay to get into. of course they dont have courses you can study... But I consider scientolgy orgs are more of a university and church, all in one and money that the orgs charge would amount to the same as say a universty fee. init?

I have walked in many churches and there was no mandatory charge. Many of those who attend church make a free will offering. Scientology on the other hand charges hundreds of thousands.

The reason I know this for a fact is that I personally worked in treasury and on the finance lines as a staff member, so I know that if some person wants a refund they've gotten one. There is organizational policy on it which is adhered to.

This outrages me know end that everything is about money... hiring a lawyer is the worse, the get you to pay $10,000 and then charge you $50,000 for an appeal, bottom line we all need FLAT FEES, but the church is the devil, you get some help, just like a corporate hitler you get a pay check, but after working for them for several years they steal your pension, the church steals your soul, mind, life. one works like a slave for free, and disassociate with their family and lie for the church.

I'm just watching the videos on their official website and it does have some good basic teachings but it seems like there might be a few tricks(like what do all these "study" sessions teach exactly? I'll keep an open and aware mind nonetheless but so far it really does remind me of some kind of internet scam or something and with all these initiate levels whats goin on there?

In my own case, after studying many different religions and philosophies in college I developed an understanding of religion and what I wanted out of one. It so happens that Scientology fit perfectly. I've gotten so much from Scientology.
