  • its gay as jakobs asshole!

  • @TristanFunk you should stop talking about yourself...

  • There are a few LARPs in the US that focus on high production values and basically center on trying to achieve the most all around immersive atmosphere as possible while still abiding by a ruleset and not requiring people to dump thousands of dollars into costuming. The Mythical Journeys games in Connecticut are probably the best example that I know of.

  • Back in my uncles cottage in scotland, we do LARP at our family reunions

  • Best part is at 1:48.

    Very well done.

  • lol, Honey Im home!

  • ...i wanna be like her and walk barefoot again... i love squishing toes in the dirt and feeling the earth... but I live in Texas and fire ants especially like to eat toes. :0

  • boring much?

  • @cimnow4 trolly much?

  • AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

  • the audio made me fall asleep before the trailer started...

  • Gayest. Thing. Ever.

  • @GoforEmpire

    So is your face.

  • @bafucin82 Oh man yeah let's fight over Youtube this should be fun!...And we'd probably accomplish more than being around 40 year old men playing dress up!

  • @GoforEmpire

Good point. But you know that they aren't playing dressup right?

  • does anyone know how sing that song?

weiß jemand von wem das lied ist?

    Thanks

    Danke

  • I have yet to find a better LARP trailer than this one. I'm not a LARPer myself, but this trailer was so well done. Whoever picked the music picked the perfect song for the video.

  • @KungFuRascals3 indeed

  • Kann mir jemand sagen von wem die Musik ist ?

  • Kann mir jemand sagen wer das Leid am Anfang singt ?

  • The music certainly added to the atmosphere

  • Absolutely gorgeous. Is it still ongoing?

  • i´m going to move to sweden and i have larp stuff

  • i´m going to move to sweden and i have larp stuff

  • I am friends with the creators of Alauven LARP. I have myself been to the first edition of it, and unfortunately missed the second edition. Yeah, they are incredibly talented and it was the first and only LARP where I was actually scared while walking in the woods!

  • does anyone know the band that made the soundtrack? very nice film .

  • whats the music on the beginning its fucking beautiful

  • 3:20 Augh! Scourge! Kill it!

  • hhmmm...don't know wether to comment or not...like the song...could not stop smiling about LARPers...i work with one and he's pretty awesome...idk

  • 1:35 When I first saw this video some time ago, this is where I went "Oh! Ok, I get it!". I was wondering why it started so, well, sappy :-). The song was absolutely PERFECT for the theme. Well done!!

  • Nothing to do with this vid thought, To me that is!

  • Jorane, Je t'aime! Kamataki is a kick ass movie.

  • OMFG LOL 1:35 HAHAHAHHAHAH

  • Hey, whats the name of the song?

  • @Provokator09 La prière = the prayer

  • @Provokator09 Jorane is that 5 years old girl who, when she's not signing in French or English, invents her own language to suit the emotion. A pure emotional being, an angel.

  • what a waste of water...

  • Kind of sad and awsome put togheter!!

Jorane and her big violins thing make that vidéo really good...LARP is a way of life!!

    LARP For life

  • Whoa...this was acutally kind of awesome.

  • Hey cool, gut gemacht

  • Was that dude her dad? That's inappropriate.

  • where can i find this music?

  • no u

  • Hey, look at the girls playing. Who do they lay? the dudes with the best attack power.

  • its a hobby and im sure people that play larp get laid well if they arnt ugly or look like a bitch

  • This is ment to be a sad video douche. Btw, you say they hug and then to orc or whatever stabs him, i think its supposed to be him remembering about his life before he dies. As in, hes about to get stabbed, so he thinks about his gf or wife or whatev, if the above was to complicated. The music fit this video well! and, im sure that many people in LARP get laid, considering how many girls are around, and not all of them are ugly, iv seen some fucking hot girls in LARP lol

  • @flintrocks Yeah, You suck Douche. Could you take a more emotional moment and make it suck more... of course you could.

  • Wtf are you talking about you fuck tard. I dont even remember who i replied to, but if its you, you are a douche.

  • plus, if the girl isnt embarrased, iv seen some girls who wear sexy "armor" lol (on youtube)

  • What lovely music! *dreamingaway*

  • I can in ur FACE! =P

  • only "good" larping film on youtube but still the textiles are crappy .I think all larps are so low cvality outside sweden where i live we go more on nice costumes and nice wepons then all other contries "for exempel" why is ur gambesongs ( the wight thing under ur armour ) Wight? U ca see its new made .. why dont make it a little durty =) and why dont do handmaked stuff like dresses ( handmade ) and U know that ur stuff isent corect done i know this and im just a 17 year old boy frome Sweden.

  • In Scandanavia is is widely known by those outside of it, that the measure of the realism of the larp is musch higher. It is also generally much more accepted there and so there are a lot more peoplewilling to help out and do things for eachother within the LARP community. Outside of it though, other countries do not have this luxury and a lot of people cannot sew by hand at all. We grab what materials we can and do what we have on hand. Making armour dirty might not be appreciated by...

  • ...those who paid upwards of 300 euros or dollars for it and cannot afford anything else for the next few years. The weaponry in Europe and Canada though tends to be the same, with a focus on fine latex and realism in that department as much as possible. It does cost a lot though, so costuming can be done to a point. In Netherlands you must NOT wear sneakers for shoes, but can wear army boots, not everyone can afford a 170 euro pair of correct shoes. And, as said, we try our best in costuming.

  • @Musemistress authentic plate Armour would probably be a detriment would it not? Compared to plastic plate male...you'd be much more mobile...

Not to mention battle ready plate goed for about 4 grand

  • @Musemistress is larp known in scandinavia??

  • @sjeggy6 Yes it is. It practically started there decades ago (or at least the version we know today) and I have a Swedish larper friend who came to study in Australia that tells me all about it. She's pretty hardcore too.

Look up some groups, you'll find plenty without a doubt.

  • @sjeggy6 cool, i am moving to scandinavia

    p.s. is it in sweden?

  • I am friends with the creators of Alauven LARP. I have myself been to the first edition of it, and unfortunately missed the second edition. Yeah, they are incredibly talented and it was the first and only LARP where I was actually scared while walking in the woods!

  • @sjeggy6 i´m going to move to sweden and i have larp stuff

  • @sjeggy6 Scandinavia is known to be the worlds best larpers. Im from denmark myself, and live in Hobro, a city who has the worlds only bordingschool who is uding larp on an educational lvl.

Larp is the 3rd biggest hobby in denmark, only beaten by handball and soccer. (theres around 100k larpers in denmark)

  • @Musemistress is larp known in scandinavia?

  • Congratulations man, you make better costumes. I'm 17 and from U.S.A. and I can beat you in a duel. It doesn't matter about the costumes, so much as the heart of the players with the story they create. Instead of poking fun at them, try to understand that this isn't a widely accepted activity.

  • Have you seen the Conquest of Mythodea larp videos? Those are pretty good too. =/

As long as its not American, its good. As Im from America XD

  • @firefosod I beg to differ my friend. Check out Legend of Morsander by AVALONLARP. It kicks this film in the gonads.

  • Hey! Nice video! I know who did this video. He is from Rimouski (Québec, Canada) like me. He had a web site about Les Chroniques d'Alauven but now, I don't know where is his web site. This is the guy at 1,57. His name is Samuel Pinel-Roy.

  • This is really a nice movie... although, they could have used another part of music for the death scene... don't u think?

    greetings

  • An incredibly well done peice. a credit to all larpers.

  • Looks like that Zombies getting to first base!

  • Wow...

    Larp Is Real Shit...

I Shud Join and become a Assasin

    (Assasin Creed Fan)

Nut that guy's face was fucking Discusting...

  • 3:19 "Hi honey, I'm home! Miss me?" LOL!

  • Look at those girls eye brows....-_-

  • Holy Shit! Does she have two Wooly Worms on her Forehead?

  • OMG this girl is pretty.!"!!...-.-

    natural beauty!!!

  • Really cute though.

  • Wow, I think I need a hanky. -Blows nose- '_'

  • The Lone Larper is a very good documentary about Larping. Watch it here. Enjoy and comment. Thanks ;-)

  • Fake

  • Dude... it's LARP.

  • What's the song?

  • nvm xD

  • 1:49 OWNED!

  • Isn't this LARP thing for kids? seems kinda no-life'ish to do this as an grown up

  • why is something thats not what a vast majority of America does always have to be no lifeish? if they find it fun, and they are interacting with people, then they have a life.

  • In reality, kids aren't always allowed to do LARP. There's too much risk of injury and the fact that it is Improvisation Acting makes it harder for them to keep up. LARP also usually only happens a few times a year, the rest of the time we're doing other things. It's like a bit of fun and acting exercise, along with fresh air and letting our imaginations go free for a while. There are Kiddy LARPs, but they're usually a lot less gory and more like what you actually see as a kid.

  • I've always wanted a reason to move overseas.. I believe LARP may be it!

  • The best larp-trailer I've ever seen, easily. Nice to see people put effort into these things still...

  • Very well done!! Good story with nice subtle effects in editing.

  • 3:18 "Hi honey, I'm home!" LOL!

I still love the way this was made, very different. The music was perfect.

  • airsoft never has these problems, i guess its because our ammo stings like a son of a bitch, and 200 coming at you at one time, isn't fun. especially at about 450 FPS

  • hmm und ?

  • Bellissimo, complimenti...

  • i LOVE the music

  • so beautiful and superb make up effects

  • I wish I could have this much free time : 3

  • I'm not a LARPer, but I can appreciate the time and effort that goes into this stuff. Great video, and kudos to all of you who actually get off your asses and realize your dreams! :D

  • LARP has been around for a long time now. And I am happy to see how it has reached over the world.

  • Amazing! I'm a LARPer as well and i loved this video. makes me wish my events were coming up sooner!!

  • LARP-fever strikes again... Don't know about you but my next event is due 'til April and it'll be the first one September '08... It's killing me :(

  • lovely song

i really want to know the name of this song or of the singer

  • Someone know where this is???

  • hammer Video arschgeil gmacht

Geili gschicht und truurig dezue 5*

  • great job on that undead :D

  • Question do LARP'rs get a lot of abuse when they larp?. I ask because the commits on more than a few you tube LARP videos are quite nasty. Thanks

  • no of course not, when LARP'rs are larping, it's generally with people who are accepting of it. the only reason people on utube comment so rudely is because it's online and they know that they won't get in trouble for it.

  • you defienetly get no abuse... nonlarpers are very friendly and interrested in what people are doing there

  • people say all kinds of cr%# on here because they are anonymous and they can feel like their opinion matters. dont worry about it. If you enjoy larping then why give it up because some computer nerd says its not cool. hahah

  • Too true, on here people can be a biggoted as they like, because they know the worst that will happen is a string of comments telling them to shut up, which is usually why they do it in the first place... But I digress... When you're at a LARP event, you won't get any trouble, mostly because you're with fellow LARPers, but non LARPers are usually very nice, although that may have something to do with the weponary we're carrying! Haha.... I wonder...

  • Just the other day we (a group of 30 well armed LARPRs) ran into a group of 15 drunk non-LAPERs one of them was making jokes of us until my wife pulled her bow.. never saw a drunk man run that fast..

  • Haha! I would have loved to see that. I have only had one memorable non-LARPer encounter, not eventing but one halloween. 2 friends and I were suffering accute LARP-fever and took the oppertunity to get into costume, including our weapons and go for a walk, before long a group of roudy teens started to hurl insults at us, until we turned to face them, they took one look at us and turned and ran shouting "Oh my God he's got an axe!", it must have looked real to them in the dark!

  • Comment removed

  • Nice one, larp is not dead it seems :D

  • More then epic. ;)

  • That was epic.

  • a great job done here...

  • that well in the beginning was possibly a whopping 6 inches deep lol

  • I think it's Arkadia... or maybe Bicoline ;)

  • ITS IN CANADA??? WHERE??

  • Oh, it was her lover only a zombie. I've seen this a trillion times in everything else ever. But stabbing zombie guy was rad. No kudos.

  • sweet!!

  • amazing - this video is in my favs for a long time and i´m still watchin it regularly ... great work - i´d like to go to one of their conventions, even when they come from canada and i´m from germany - those guys know how to roleplay!

  • PERFECT!

  • Brilliant !!

  • ...Oh, that was MAGNIFICENT.

  • what's the song?

  • Read the description.

  • Very well done! I thought it started out a bit "sappy" at first until I realized that those were the guy's last thoughts. Apperently, he didn't want to die quite yet though.... The song was perfect for the trailer.

  • Damn, this looks really nice. I wish that the US would take it more sensible and seriously like this. TOo bad it's got a bad image in the eyes of Americans, because shit, I'll do this!

  • great video + perfect song 5*

  • I was there for the 3 larps.I never been so frightened in my whole life. Men you had to be there to know what it is. The year of this video, there was 27 zombies with the same quality make-up of this video. Zombies npcs where aged from 14to30 years, so there was whole family of them! It was inbeliveble!Godsmak! We where about 12 knights and maybe 15paysant. Totally overflow! Now I continue to play larps but I never find the same quality of immersion. Please forget my fault I'm not used to english

  • And there was me hoping she'd be sad then go grab a sword and beat the hell out of the enemy... *sighs*

  • shit. had the video ended that way I'd be pretty angry on them for spoiling such a promising trailer. where is the mystique and fear if a nice litle peasant girl goes on a killing spree on a bunch of zombies!?

Wish I and had been there if only I could speak frensh.

  • sorry! this was supposed to be a reply to panthera farther down

  • shit. had the video ended that way I'd be pretty angry on them for spoiling such a promising trailer. where is the mystique and fear if a nice litle peasant girl goes on a killing spree on a bunch of zombies!?

Wish I and had been there if only I could speak frensh.

  • Why shouldn't she get angry and actually go do something useful? Heck, it's what my character did last time someone picked on someone she loved. Besides, smashing zombies is very satisfying.

  • reply to palthera(didn't work last time):

Hm, lets see... maybe because they didn't want to create a swords and sorcery larp. And maybe because peassants arent supposed to turn into imba-wariors in two hours. I don't know what role you had when you walked the path of vengeance and it's quite possible that was the most suitable thing for your character to do, however...

  • ...why I love this trailer is because it tries to create a feeling unlike any other trailers: they shows mans vulnerability, the danger of combat and the fear of the supernatural instead of big, crasy battles and people trying to be epic.

  • With this film I got goose skin, thanks!

  • that was brilliant, every thing you could ever want, killing, mutants, pretty girls and ZOMBIES!

  • Mon dieu que c'est beau!!!

  • i like the soundtrack... does anyone know...?

  • Is in the Summery :);)

  • *@#!, I nearly got a heart attack at 1:39, damn.

I know u didn't make this, but here it come:

Really nice job, good story (though quiet sad), and the costumes and make-up was excellent, perfectio.

I too play LARP, I play it with Life & Soul, I usually tend to be the doubble crossing people and criminals at the same time. I'm going to play it this summer with about 500 ,or more, people this summer with 2-3 of my friends and my little brother, we are going to be Marauding Mercenaries...

  • That was very well done.

  • Very poetic and sad. I think that playing a LARP in Canada could be very... involving.

  • larp? what does it stand for/what is it?

  • live action role playing

  • To help Gang a bit. Live Action Roleplay is basically a form of interactive, improvisation acting.

    No script

    No audience

Just you and a load of other people like yourself with a central plot and gameleaders to guide it along. Basically they are writing a novel and you are a character in it...problem is you can also have initiative, so it always makes it feel like you are living in a story and yet still have the ability to change things.

    Helps?

  • A friend of mine described it as "Cross Country Pantomime"

Don't worry, I do this as well so I'm laughing at myself as much as the hobby ;)

  • ya! sounds groovy and imaginative

  • Varan really doesn't like Larpers. Is an ongoing feud between reinactors and larpers due to larping being pretty much formless, and reinacting being precies and generally historically correct. I find both very fine, but can never reach Reinacting Standards due to lack of funds for correct footwear and stuff and not being able to improvise as much. Each to their own I always say :P.

  • Lamme Aarskever Regionale Plasgaten

  • Simply amazing work...

  • awesome!

Very good video, I love it!

  • Very very nice work.

    great song

if there are any larpers out there from N. America the Northern armies of Gallendor have fallen..... there is not much time.

    burgledorf dot com

  • Ohh, This Video is really good work congratulation.^^

  • so sad...so beatiful. my group must do this kind of thing!

  • Cool man. The story and the music are great.

  • go to the elffantasy and castlefest, there are really a lot of people who adore this kind of movies and fantasy, mythic stories. BTW good filming

  • Im a Larper. And I really love this movie. So damn nice done. 5/5 NO SHIT.

  • Yeah, it's really fun. I have played it in a big city and in a forest. I personally perfer the forest. More space, and things you can do there. Agree?

  • Dont supose there is anymore "episodes" of this?

  • Unfortunately no. I will ask the original creator of the trailer (he contacted me) about it but I severely doubt it. I do try to track down similer trailers all the time and save them as favourite. But as for this one? Sorry.

  • Can u post more trailer like these (maybe not 100% alike, but Good LARP trailers, like this one?)

  • Am working on it. Trying to encourage others to start making and putting effort into such things and test out their filmmaking abilities.

We shall see what the future brings :)

  • 5/5 fuckin' amazing

  • that's good oO

  • i live in the region where this larp has been brought to life.Unfortu
