  • love yr Youtube name. I was gonna just say thanks for posting this old favorite of mine. But.....then your YT name distracted me and...i wont get into politics. Or sociology,,,,,or,,,what I know about 1916,,,but I can dig it. *nudge* Thank you and blessings. Happy holi'daze'. "Jenny"

  • The opening was absolutely beautiful. It lost a little when it picked up, but remained a good song throughout.

  • @gryphonlaments I personally think it gaining pace was the best aspect of the song.

  • LOVE it...^^

  • OMG LSD

  • That's just AMAZING!!!

  • ARTHUR LEE

  • Without doubt one of the bst kept secrets of music is this band and this song! Genius doesnt even cover the level this band got too...

  • the beginning seems to be sing by jim morrisson, it's the same!!!!

    this song is really amazing..

  • Thanks for posting. Actually, this song and "Your Mind and We Belong Together" were recorded at the same time in early '68 intended for the next Love album. The last songs with the original band which then splintered apart.

  • I keep oooooon listening love

  • Yes - a bonus outtake - one of Love's best songs. They spoof the Doors who they got signed to Electra.

  • Bonus track?

  • @NickB1967 -- Forever Changes was reissued in 2008 by Rhino as a 2-disc set with 11 alternate mix songs and 10 bonus tracks, out takes, and demos.

  • @jlovebirch so it must be the second disc where they say "You're the one bringing blow into the studio man?" They keep starting the same song and stopping. Is that on the second disc? I've been looking for it since 2001. I bought the main album on CD but it doesn't have these out takes

  • @willzer808 You've gotta get the remastered version man...I got mine from amazon.

it has 18 tracks on it...the 7 extra songs are the demos and outtakes. and the song you are talking about it "your mind and we belong together"

  • @willzer808

I have this one - 30 something takes on a rhythm track. No drug reference whatsoever. There is a conversation during which Echols is addressed, "Man I don't understand your trip man. You stay in one range of the guitar throughout the whole thing, man. Cause ya know you're the one who says you can blow in the studio man, nobody to bug you. You gotta blow, man. Are you ready to take it from the top?" The engineer/producer is trying to encourage the musical performance.

  • @tremolo1965 could you upload it? Please?! I've been longing to hear it since 2002. I bought the album! Its just not on the version I bought. Its on a deluxe 2 CD version, or maybe at the end as bonus tracks on an extended 1CD version. Either way man, I need to hear that part again. When I bought the CD I thought sure it would be on it, but no, denied, if you could upload it it would be totally cool..

  • @tremolo1965 it's actually arthur lee talking to johnny echols

  • awesome

  • The first 52 seconds of this song features a duet with Jim Morrison and Arthur Lee. Pretty neat.

  • @CreatingExcellence Are you sure about that ? I did read it too, but I couldn't find it on the CD

Great song btw, but I think it's "Laughing Shock"

  • @trojanlol

    It's clearly Jim.

  • @CreatingExcellence says who?

  • Awesomeness! Thank you!
