Brandon Sanderson on ending The Wheel of Time

Every time a new book comes out I re-read all the previous books... every time I re-read I get something new.

I know how it ends already though. Turns out Bela was the Dragon Reborn and she sends the Dark One into Brandon Sanderson's Cosmere with a Fus Ruh Da shout. It's immensely satisfying.

WOT has been a huge part of my life for many many years. I don't know how I will feel when it finally ends and I realize fully that there won't be any more. I guess maybe it will be a feeling of something gone missing or of loss. I really don't know. I guess the thing to do would be to start it over again and take my time with it, even though I think I must have read it all 4 or 5 times at least already. OH DEAR what will I do???

@vk3act I totally agree with you!! I was wondering the same thing; what will I do?? Living the lives of these people .... they are my friends!! I suppose we'll have to read them all again just before this last one comes out!

yes it sucks that its going to be another year to read the final book, but honestly, i've been reading and re-reading these books for a very long time, about 11 years, and im somewhat sad to see it end. all total i would rather he take the time to be sure that it is finished according to robert jordan's design and so that it doesnt feel rushed. i can spend the next year re-reading to be fully aware and very fresh on all the information. I dont mind waiting for the epic conclusion. not at all.

it is utter crap we have to wait a whole extra year just to finish the series. no matter when it is released the reception would be the same. its more selfish than anything. Robert would be upset.

Its rough to think the series is going to be over. I grew as a reader because of these books.
